2014 Locals!!!!

Here you can talk about Locals! How did everyone do? What did you think about the test?

This time I'm not the first one on MV back from Locals… Finally. :P

Let's not talk specifics about the test until later on… some people probably still haven't taken it yet.

^(is anyone else going to post here?)^ Anyways, all of our family got a place! Philip got 3rd and Zachary got 4th in Primaries, Brianna got 4th in Juniors, Courtney tied for 2nd in Seniors, and I got 1st. :)

Easiest BB test I ever took. Of course that probably has to do with the fact that I was extremely prepared for it. :)

Hmmm… I finished the test which I'm happy about :) The test wasn't near as hard as last year so happy. I still had to think though XD I sure hope I did well enough to qualify!!!

That's great! I really hope you'll qualify this year! From what I know, I think you've got a good chance :)

It was my easiest, too…but then again, the only other one I took was last year's! :D

Our bible bee seemed so short this year with no orals. :( I thought the test was good though. Probably my favorite one so far.

The test was harder for me than it was last year…. :( I doubt if i qualified. Does anyone know approximately how many seniors there is? Congrats to everyone who placed and participated!! :)

I miss orals sooooo much!!!!!!

I wonder if they will ever bring it back. They didn't get that many kids this year, not as many as they wanted. And most of the people I've talked to REALLY miss orals.

Well, Mrs. Becker was announcing the Senior placements, and got up to 3rd with no mention of either Courtney, myself, or Hannah. Then she said "for the first time ever, we have a tie in our Bible Bee for 2nd place." I naturally thought it was for 2nd and 1st place, because usually when there's a tie then they take up the same space of ranks as if there was no tie. So if there was a two-way tie for 1st, the next placing would be 3rd. That's how they do it at Nationals at least. So I expected mine and Courtney's names to be called. But then she called Courtney and Hannah! I was like "What - I'm not going to get an award????" That was - I can't describe it adequately - that was terrible!!! Ohhh, it was such a relief when they called me for 1st!! xP

How many Seniors were at your bee? :) Congrats on getting first! :D

Hey Everett! Yes, I thought the test wasn't as hard as last years locals (especially the 1st fourth) but it might have gotten harder later in the test. I don't think I knew some of the CR questions perfect, and some of the re-wording might have been tricky.

So, what did you think?

About the test? Easiest BB test I ever took! :) I can't remember ever being so happy during a BB test either. There were a few questions (mostly CR) that I didn't know, but for the most part, with some thought, I knew most every answer. :D

Wow. Do you know your score? The test felt pretty easy. I took a guess on like 5 of them but all the others I had some vague idea at least…

How fast did you finish? I had 20 minutes left for review which is a personal best :D

IKR? That was the exact response I had coming out of the testing room… That and "Thank God!!" :D No, I don't know my score but I'm guessing it will be somewhere in the 500s.

I finished with 8-9 minutes left - a personal best for myself as well. I never finished with more than a couple minutes left before. It was real nice too, because I got to go back and change some of my answers.
