2015 Practice Test Project

Changes are pending for the 2015 Practice Test Project. Having just heard of all the new changes like the rest of you, I still need to process and implement the results into our project. I may have to wait until the Competition Rulebook is released to have final details. I really hope we can still do the project, even though we will not be able to work ahead as usual. :)

Just a suggestion, do you think it would be possible to have the Memverse practice test at classmarker.com? That way people could get used to the format before the actual test. There is an option to make your own test and it looks like it's free (but the free one has "limited features"). I'm not sure though, I just looked at it for a couple minutes after the webinar. What do you think?

Good idea (if it's not too difficult for Matthew or whoever would be doing it)!

I think it will work. The free plan give you unlimited tests and questions with up to 100 test results per month. If more than 100 people want to take the test, you can just have another person create an account to administer it. The "limited features" are for paid users and include giving certificates, images/file upload, and emailed results. Sounds like a great idea!

Do we write practice tests once a week or just one big practice test at the end? If the former, then will we wrote any before we have the BBSG?

Usually we write one full length practice test for each division, and release it a couple weeks before locals, plus "micro tests" (around 50 questions each) about halfway through the summer. Buuuut…this year might be different. ;) We'll see…I'm sure Matthew will work something out. :)

Matthew, when is the Senior test coming out in PDF? I only see the Junior test on the blog…

Full length practice tests (200, 150, 100 questions each) should be coming out within the next couple days. :)

I'm sorry about that Cory - there was a miscommunication, and so Nathan hasn't gotten that done yet. However, like Rachel said, I'm hoping to get the whole thing out by tomorrow, at least on the link.

Matthew, if you see this before you see the email, I've finished editing all the Junior questions. Waiting for set 38 still… Should I start compiling? I'd prefer to compile today instead of tomorrow :)

I'm very thankful to say that the limited number of tests will not be an issue, as that only applies to registered ClassMarker users, which obviously you guys will not be taking the test as that. xD

Alright. With studying plus the classes I am taking to graduate next year I don't have much spare time to put questions into classmarker, but I thought I'd share the ones I've made in case you want to use any of them.

Matthew- would it be possible to ask people to proactively check the problematic questions? I know that there are some that have been sitting in there for a while.

@Cory, I'm trying to get that worked out. Actually, there are two other separate projects going on already so I don't know if I'm even needed… We'll see, I guess I need to email everyone about that.

I wish we could combine, but I prefer to keep my group small because it helps with controlling the quality of questions.
