Bible bee rule book and FAQ information
Started by Everett Hbiblebee
Hello mrsbiblebee (I miss you too!),
Yes, I am trying to prepare for anything. Multiple choice would make it really easy but I think that, as you pointed out, open-ended questions would make it a bit to difficult.
How are Everett and JJ's studying going?
Matthew Minica
You have to remember that the rulebook actually does not specify the format of the questions on the written tests either. I think it will probably be multiple choice, as it was in 2009 when they had Bible knowledge questions in the finals.

From the BB FAQ page:
Question: How many Bible Memory verses will be assigned to National Contestants for 2013?
Answer: The number of 2013 Bible Memory verses will be announced the week after local contest day, at the same time that the book of the Bible for 2013 National Contestants to study is released.
Interesting. I thought it would be the same as last year - maybe not…
2 Corinthians 5:17
I noticed that, and that's scares me! :-/ ;-)
Emily H
Wow, that's a little scary :P

"Contestants and parents/legal guardians must treat each other, volunteers, the Local Event Team and SKF staff with honor and courtesy. Rudeness on the part of any contestant or parent/legal guardian will be grounds for contestant disqualification from participation in any part of The National Bible Bee. This rule applies to all forms of communication including, but not limited to, personal contact, written, e-mail, and social media."
Is Memverse social media?
Emily H
Yep, think it is.

"Local Bible Bee Hosts and SKF staff reserve the right, at their own discretion, to remove parents/legal guardians from the contest premises, or to disqualify their children or youth from participation in any part of the Bible Bee if the parents/legal guardians exhibit rude, disruptive, or violent behavior."
I wonder if that one has a story behind it.
Margaret Eddy
What about poetry?
Emily H
(I don't think anything you've said was rude.)
Is poetry social media? No…
Matthew Minica
Not unless it's posted on social media.
Matthew Minica
I highly doubt they would disqualify anybody for the vast majority of the behavior I've seen on here.
Emily H
Hmmm…I still don't think they'll disqualify you for anything you've said on here. Even if they thought what you said wasn't sarcastic, it wasn't rude.
Emily H
I don't think it was disrespectful either.
Margaret Eddy
Thank you for your vote of confidence.
Sarah B.
Oh, for pity's sake! If that was disrespectful at all blame me! I was the one who egged you on.
Margaret Eddy
You have a point. Thank you, I will keep that in mind.
