Updates on ForTheBee (Unaffiliated Study Materials)

This topic is for posting updates to the ForTheBee section of my website where I post unaffiliated study materials to help study for Bible Bee local and national competitions, including prompterizors, first five words, and more.

FYI - ForTheBee is not affiliated with Bible Bee, nor endorsed by them. This is an independent place for the uploading of my created study helps, and contains no copyrighted Bible Bee materials.

For The Bee is back in business for 2015! Some study resources have already been added for this year.

Several changes have been made to For The Bee so you can get the most out of For The Bee:

• Updated layout.
  Recently updated layout reduces clutter and makes For The Bee easier to navigate.

• Subscribe for For The Bee notifications.

• Submit your own study resouces.

QOEV Flashcards started
My annual QOEV (Questions On Every Verse) flashcards set has been started for John 1-6. Questions on Chapter 1 are done and Chapter 2 is almost done. It can be viewed on For The Bee.

Continuing work on QOEV set
Chapters 1 and 2 of John are done on my annual QOEV (Questions On Every Verse) Quizlet flashcards set! The current question count stands at 223! All questions are multiple choice. You can view the flashcard set on For The Bee.

Updated Studying Page
The For The Bee studying areas have been updated to make them more user friendly. Clicking "Start Studying" on a flashcard set now takes you to a page allowing you to study the set using Learn and Test modes as well as Flashcards, even if you don't have a Quizlet account.

2015 Locals Prompterizers

Key Greek and Hebrew all finished!
The progressing set on all the key Greek and Hebrew from our John 1-6 study has been finished and all of the key words are now included in the set you've been studying on For The Bee.

Summaries on National Passages
The first resource for studying for the 2015 national competition is on For The Bee! A set summarizing all the Senior nationals passages is starting to come together! Since Seniors have all the Primary and Junior passages and more, just star the ones for your age divison to study if you aren't a Senior. Studying summaries of the memory passages is helpful to help you quickly know a passage on the test and because like I say, every local memory passage is a cross reference. All of the pre-release passages are entered in here and the remaining ones will be added after they are released.

Print out flashcards
You can now print out flashcards from For The Bee! To print a flashcard set, find the set on For The Bee and click "Start Studying". Then on the white study navigation bar click "Print Flashcards". You can now download and or print all the questions from the set!

First Words
Memorizing the first words of passages is an excellent way to quickly jumpstart passages without needing prompts. Flashcard sets containing the first words of the Junior nationals passages in KJV and NKJV are now available on For The Bee.

Hey Zach- not sure if you know this, but when I click copy the text out of the prompterizer generator, the box goes blank instead of retaining the text to copy….

It's working fine for me. What OS/browser are you using, or are you on a mobile device? It should work for all devices and I haven't had anyone else have issues.

I'm using windows 7, with IE11. I'm on my family's desktop, so I would think it should work alright. Do you want me to email you screenshots of what's happening?

Ok I just checked it on IE. It is indeed a bug - one of those modern code issues that old fashioned IE doesn't support. I'll have to work on that. Do you have Chrome or Firefox that you could use it on?

EDIT: I changed something in the code and it works on my end. Is it working for you now?

It doesn't erase it out of the textbox, but I can't highlight it to copy it. I'll see if it works on Chrome.

EDIT: It works on Chrome, just not IE.

Never updated… what do you mean? We've had to upgrade our version of IE several times since we got our computer…

Updates, yes, but not updates for supporting modern code. The new Microsoft browser, Edge, that comes with Windows 10 should be a lot better.
