This is a trick that I have found very helpful for memorizing long lists. I was struggling with remembering the list of the "works of the flesh" from Galatians 5. I spent no more than ten minuets creating a "memory path," and now I can easily go through the whole list. It works like this. Imagine a path with which you are familiar (for example, a tour through your house). Then, walk along your path (literally or mentally) and at each stop in the path (each room in your house for example) place (in the correct order) an image to remind you of an item on the list. For example, I imagined people bowing down to a tree outside our garage door. Then I imagined a person in a dark cloak lurking in the dark shadows of our garage. Whenever you need to remember the list, all you have to do is mentally walk down the path you created. The images will help you remember the items on the list, and the path will help you remember the order.

Neat! I think that other Bible Bee-ers do that, too. I remembered the order of the works of the flesh by writing them out in the colors of the rainbow (in order) and posting the list in my room. Every time I went into my room, I would read through the list at least once. It worked very well and I don't have any trouble with that list! :)
