Hi Memorizing Friends!
I have a question: In your experience, which is more beneficial…memorizing topically or memorizing passages? Of course, anytime the Word is getting inside our heart is great…I just wanted to view responses to both trains of thought.

I think memorizing topically is most interesting and thrilling. However, I normally memorize passages just because it's easier for me.
(I have a hard time remembering reference numbers)

Good thing that Memverse has the option to review references! This is what sets the program apart from Scripture Typer. :)
Gloria

I personally prefer passages… In my opinion they flow better and I like having the context. I also find it a lot easier to do whole chapters at a time because I don't get the references mixed up.

Actually, I think ST does have a verse reference review feature.
EDIT: Yes, they do. It's at the bottom of a collection or in the Uncategorized section.

Ok, so it is at the top of a collection, but for the Uncategorized (which is what I had been looking at) it's at the bottom. :)

It's verses that you don't put in a collection.

^That. Especially since context is crucial in memorizing passages.
