I know a few people on here who like this radio show as much as I do, but I'm sure there are more–they just haven't had the chance to say so.

So this topic is for discussing the goods and the bads of America's most popular Christian radio drama: favorite episodes, characters, websites, blogs, etc.

Who is enjoying the four-part series of episodes AIO is putting out on radio about Sergeant Alvin C. York? So far, they have been pretty accurate, though the episodes have had their kinks. Does anyone know enough about this man to give any insights?

They're doing a pretty good job so far(only listened to the first two episodes). The book doesn't have quite so much about Gracie, I don't think. Well, maybe the book just has more about other stuff, they just focused on her more than the other things.
I like it.

My first time listening to the Alvin ones was last Sunday, and I agree that they are great. I have some of the older albums.

Heh, I should have known you would put something like this up ChiefOfSinners! I really haven't been listening to the Sgt. York episodes, but my all-time favorite episode so far might be "Stage Fright"……or "I Slap Floor"……or "Darkness Before Dawn"……or "Do or Diet"…….or "Broken Window"…..or "Snow Day"…or……….well, you get the idea, I can't decide on my favorite episode!

I never really listened to many of the Adventures in Odyssey tapes… I've always liked Jonathan Park better. :) Out of all the Odyssey tapes I've listened to (which isn't that many) my favorite would be the Pilgrims Progress one.

Ahh…I Slap Floor. I liked that one. It was crazy. XD

I've always like Johnathan Park better :)

I hope this isn't going off-topic, but what's Johnathan Park like? It sounds interesting, though I've never listened myself.

Jonathan Park is an audio drama produced by Vision Forum in which all of the episodes deal in some way with the creation vs. evolution debate. The episodes follow the Park and Brennan familes on adventures all over the world with their organization, The Creation Response Team. There are only seven albums, and the production is of a lower quality than AIO, but many families have grown to love it. I would say that it appeals more to conservative families than AIO does. You can find out more at http://www.jonathanpark.com.

Jonathan Park is awesome! They make it interesting while constantly inserting the creation message. They also teach awesome ways to back up creation. Like the four questions: "What do you mean by what you're saying?" How do you know what you're saying is true?" "What if you're wrong (and you die)?" "What difference does it make?" :)

I really like AIO. I listen almost every day. Did anyone on here use the radio broadcast other than me? I used it alot when they had it.

Did anyone enter the Get in the Show contest? They have Shona Kennedy (the winner) recording in the studios right now - follow AIO on Facebook and you can see great pictures and videos of the recordings - she looks REALLY excited! :) I would be too!

I entered the GitS contest - did anyone else? For everyone who entered, AIO gave them a copy of the new book 90 Devotions for Kids! I got mine 2 days ago and I am loving it - it is a must have!!!!!!! :)

@jimmy Waters - I recognized you at Nationals from her youtube video and I recognized her too :)

I totally recommend the 90 Devotions for Kids for younger ones and I like it too but being used to the Sword Studies and longer Bible studying times, I read about 4-6 devotions a day…but hey, it's still cool! :)

Does anyone have any AIO Official Guides? I have the "middle" edition but it is sooooooooooo used that I ordered a new one off Amazon and got the OOOOOLLLLLDDDDDDDDDD one from 1997 or something off Amazon too - great deals - can't wait to get them, I got a message saying they shipped them today, YAY! :)

How many Odyssey things does everyone have? I'm just curious and is anyone on the Odyssey Scoop (besides Christian & Nicolas A)? (www.odysseyscoop.com)

Wow. That was a really really long comment….can anyone tell that I'm an even bigger fan of Adventures in Odyssey than Narnia? Because I am!

"Can anyone tell that I'm an even bigger fan of Adventures in Odyssey than Narnia?" Oh yes. I can definitely tell. :P And actually, I'm not on the Odyssey Scoop–I used to read it often a couple of years ago, but I haven't even seen its front page in at least a year. :) I'm not really into Odyssey anymore…. :) (Except for enjoying listening to the episodes, of course.)

Wow! That is so cool that you saw our audition! :) Thanks you for your compliment. My sister really appreciated it. :D

You certainly seem like a ardent AiO fan! I really like Adventures in Odyssey, but I haven't listened to them much recently.

What do you think about the new albums (those after 50)? I am not sure I really like the new voice of Whit. He sounds so different now.

BibleBeeJunior14 (~*Lady Ariana*~)

@Danielle - I LOVE Novacom! It's my favorite saga. The Blackgaard Chronicles and The GRC don't come close! :)

@jimmy - I think it was funny becuase when I watched it I saw you and you had on your Bible Bee shirt and it spiked my curiousity becuase I didn't know who you were! :)
I think I'm beginning to get used to the new albums. The older albums are def better but I like Album 53-56. I have 52 and it's not the greatest but I really miss the old Whit. I'm getting used to him now and I don't really mind as much now. :)

@SBG, Danielle, & Jimmy - I can't believe you haven't listened to ODYSSEY lately…gasp. faints

Hey, I didn't say I haven't listened to it lately! :) I actually listen to three episodes every night while in bed, and I always hear the new ones when they come out. I just meant that I don't enjoy Odyssey so much as to be involved in any Odyssey blogs or anything. Also, Odyssey has recently started to get a little too… how should I put it… well, not like it used to be. :) I still enjoy listening to it, though! :)

BibleBeeJunior14 (~*Lady Ariana*~)

I used to listen to them in bed, too, but my sister shares my room with me and couldn't sleep. Do you guys have any of the albums? I'm on faio, the OdysseyScoop, and whitsend.org - that's it for the "blogs". I agree with you though, about the newer episodes. I think the reason they cut the old people out is because a few of the actors had died and the kids were growing up so they didn't want to make Connie "stuck-at-16-forever" so they just brought in new characters. I'm thinking they'll probably have the Parkers and the other kids disappear when they get too old, too. Did you notice Camilla's voice in album 56? She sounds a lot older…They did change Olivia's voice because she was sounding too old but Jay and Olivia are played by adults and Ryan is played by a teen so I don't know what they're going to do…I hope they do more Kidsboro series…maybe where Matthew and Emily stumble upon the old Kidsboro - all overgrown and everything and re-do everything and Kidsboro will be for the kids of Odyssey again.

That was a totally random comment.

We tend to get the newest ones fairly soon after they come out, so we must have gotten one at some birthday recently… but I don't really remember. :)

Oh, I've never been able to come up with my favorite Odyssey episode. :) Many are equally good (and many are equally bad… ;) ), so it's hard to decide. :)

I'm listening to it play on the radio right now! :) It's definitely one of their better episodes since the relaunch. :)

That is one of my favorites too! I would, however, probably say that my favorite is "Snow Day." The one in which Alex Jefferson is delivering cookies to his Grandma in THE golden cookie tin. :)
