ATI Families

Is your family enrolled in the ATI program? I'm curious to how many are.

In a nutshell, It is a curriculum based on Matthew 5, 6 and 7 that studies the scriptures and related them to all areas of school, for example, mathematics, science, medicine, etc.
ATI is a major sponsor/supporter of the Bible Bee, and I think Bill Gothard, the man who began the program (about 30 years ago) spoke at Nationals in 2011, and they had a booth set up in 2012.
There is lots more to it then just that, but that is the basics. We love ATI, and my Mom's family was in it before she was married to daddy.

We aren't really, but we have some old books from a family that was! :)

Rachel, we have been involved in the Ati program in the past, but since all of us are finished with high school, we aren't really involved in it right now! How about you?

We are involved in ATI Rachel. Probably not as involved as we could be, but we do the Wisdom Booklets and sometimes attend the conferences.

That's good! :) that's about how it is with us too :) What wisdom booklet are you on?

@Rachel: We're on Wisdom Booklet 16.

@Both of you - Taylor is doing great! We have had no sickness since he came home from the hospital what… 5 weeks ago? Anyway, he is doing well at improving his low muscle tone little by little. (As a Down Syndrome baby he has more trouble holding up his head and things like that.) He is also starting to smile at us! So precious!

@Emily: We had a good time on our trip! We went to the beach near Houston and got to stay at a resort only a few hundred feet from the waves! We really liked the area and are already talking about going there again. Although, it was good to get home - I was not extremely happy to get put behind yet another week on school.

BTW - How did you manage to pass me up on the leaderboard?!? Oh well, it won't be for long… (I hope…) :P

Matthew - hey!!! We just started #16 last night! :) I liked the section on the how to study a a word from the Bible in the Greek.

It must have been really fun to stay so close to the ocean! How long did you stay there? Oh, yeah… When do you think you'll finish school?
Haha… by waiting till you were gone, then memorizing a bunch of verses, so you couldn't do anything about it.=D Yeah, you have like a ton more verses than I do, so I'll have to make the most of it while I can. =D

Wait a sec… I knew it was the last one in a group of four, but I think I meant to say number 12. Oops. (Boy, I hate it when that happens! :( )

@Emily - We were there for about six days, I think.
I'm a bit late on my school right now. 9th grade is going to take me till the end of June to finish… and then it's right into 10th grade! I may have to do school for a few weeks during Nationals in order to catch up, unfortunately. How about you?

Oh man! I've finished a few subjects, but I'll have to do math at least though June, I think. :-/ And then I have no idea how long Spanish is going to go, because we're doing that in a group.

Oh well! Is this your first round through the books, or if not, how many times have you gone through them?

Yes, it is our first round. We just joined ATI in 2011.

Yes, definitely! I especially like the way they compare real-life things such as palm trees to spiritual things like how to stand against persecution. The palm tree resource has been one of my favorites so far.

@Emily: I am now one verse ahead of you. Told you it wouldn't be for long. :P (Now watch you memorize ten more verses tomorrow.)

We've been enrolled for 9 years :)

That's great! We've been enrolled for….12 years? I'm not sure. But we're sooo slow when it comes to the wisdom books :P

Nice!! :) I'm not completely sure, but it's either prophecy or mercy (I know, those two don't go together XD But I "tied" with those when I took the quiz.) My dad's gift is prophecy and mom's is mercy.

Oh, that's neat! I think I might classify you more as a mercy. :) My dad's is prophecy too! My mom's is teaching. Matthew's is organizing and Brianna's is mercy. I think Philip might be a giver! We've got quite a wide range so far. :)

Yes, I'd say I'm more of a mercy, but the prophet side of me does show at times XD I can see Matthew as an organizer…he's good at getting the Practice tests together! And I can see you as a server…always helping your little siblings and family :)

Haha. x) I can see you as a mercy, but I don't know that I've ever seen the prophet side of you. :P
