Audio drama auditions

I've had several people request to be in my Arthur Fordsworthy audio drama. So anyone who is interested in being in an episode of Arthur Fordsworthy can look here for opportunities! If you would like me to reserve a role for you, feel free to ask for that, too.

I'd be interested, but I couldn't do anything until mid-August (I'm in a play this month and then we'll be on vacation for two weeks). I don't really have any recording equipment except for my iPad, so I'm not sure how exactly I'd even record myself :P (If you know of any good recording apps for iPads, please let me know!)

If you ever need someone to speak Chinese (Mandarin) for one of your dramas, I would like to do it! :)

Hmmmm! Well, I don't have any plans for that right now, but it sounds pretty cool… so I'll try to find a place for that! In A Secret in Stone, I had some Portuguese speech; but it was done with a synthesizer. Having a real person with expression would be very cool!

Another opportunity is open! This is also a female character. She's a villain who becomes a Christian at the end. She needs to be able to sound grim and fierce throughout most of it, then eerie and depressed during one scene, then overjoyed at the end when she gets saved. There will also be some screaming in the action sequences; the character has the personality of a screaming blonde. Until the end, she should be the kind of character that freaks you out. This character is ideally in her mid-40s, but she doesn't need to "sound" that old as long as she doesn't sound too young.

This sounds fun!! I don't think I'll be able to do any parts, but it is a cool idea!!

I don't think I can do a very emotional voice, like crying. (If you know what I mean. At least, I haven't tried it) So if you have a part that doesn't cry, is 13, and has a medium-deep voice, (for a girl) than I would love to try out!! ;)

I can be sarcastic, irritated, happy, mad, excited, or in pain. (I think I can, anyway. O.o)

Okay, I don't think I could do that….grim and fierce I don't think my voice could do, but I'm not sure. O_O I haven't tried sounding grim or fierce, really since that isn't my personality.

Your angry voice should be fine. There are just a few scenes where you'd need to scream.

If you want, I can send you a recording of me trying to imitate it. I can actually do it pretty well; the problem is: my pitch is too low. :-)

Sure, next time I have an opening! The two opportunities for this episode are filled, but you can audition for the next time I have an one! Since you and Emmy have both offered, I'll probably have you both audition for the next one (if it works out for both of you), pick whichever I think works best for that particular role, and then hold the next role for the other one. Thank you; I remember being impressed with your expression at semi-finals! =D

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to audition. =/ Sorry. Things have gotten kind of crazy around here lately, with us getting two new dogs, being involved in several plays, my sister getting a main role in one of them, school, etc. etc…. But thank you for letting me know! :) I still would like to be in one of your dramas in the future, but it may be a while before I am able.
