Ian:
"7. For whom was the Epistle to Philemon written?"
Am I missing something? If it was the Epistle to Philemon, wouldn't it be written for Philemon? Or would the answer be for everyone?
Cow
If I'm getting this right, it was a nice trick question on the part of Ian :) The question was not, "To whom was the Epistle of Philemon written?"; it was, "For whom…?". The letter to Philemon was written by Paul on behalf of Onesimus, a runaway slave, whom Philemon owned. After stealing from Philemon again, Onesimus ran away and met Paul and became a follower of Jesus Christ. Paul wrote to Philemon to encourage him to not only forgive Onesimus but to free him. btw this sounds like a question that might be on a BB test :D
Emily H
Ooooh, okay, I get it. :) At first I thought he was referring to Philemon's slave, but I couldn't remember his name. But the more I read his question, the more it confused me. :P Yeah, it does sound like a BB test question! :)
Holy Ghost
What person in the Bible cannot be spoken against without serious consequences???
2 Corinthians 5:17
Hannah - wow, good job at spotting that! Yeah, it does sound like a BB question!
Ian R.2
Sorry I made it so complicated. I copied it off a Bible quiz card from a Bible board game that uses the KJV.
Danielle: Yes he was 100 years old when Isaac was born, and you were right on the second question too. :)
Hannah: You are right also!

We should get this topic going again, in preparation for next years test! :D
Matthew Minica
True or False? Miriam was the oldest child in her family.
Jackson
Um…true? True or False: David's great-grandma was Ruth.
Matthew Minica
Correct! For some reason a lot of people have it in their mind that Aaron was the oldest. However, when you look at Exodus 7:7, it is clear that Aaron could not have been older than Miriam. If Moses was 80 years old and Aaron 83, then when Moses was born Aaron was only three years old. If Aaron was older than Miriam, she would have been even younger than that and obviously not responsible enough to watch Moses' basket in the river, or able to speak to the Pharaoh's daughter. The only reasonable explanation is that Miriam was older.
And the answer to your question, BTW, is True. :)
Sarah
True?
Who were Methuselah's great-grandsons?
