There are some books and movies that would make great video games. These include

Books: Pilgrim's Progress, Treasure Island,
Movies: The Patriot, Taken, Braveheart, Sergeant York

The Bible! My #3 favorite is "Shadow of the Almighty" with "The Holy War" right on it's heels. I like anything by John Bunyan and Jim Elliot!

My favorite novels are Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.

I haven't read it. I'll start right away though. I was writing a novel almost a year ago on my old computer, I got over 17,000 words too, but the computer crashed and all my work was gone.

Wow, the same happened to me a few years back. That is really discouraging!

Hmm… what part of it exactly would make a good video game? Perhaps Lord Traius fighting Lord Drakin, or Quinn and Rowan's battle in the dungeon, or King Archen's and Sir Walter's in the cave, but… I can't think of much else. :P

There's more to video games than just fighting. It could be a very cinematic game (lots of cutscenes) and besides combat the player could explore the environment, go hunting, compete in mini games, race, all sorts of things.

True, true. But there would be quite a lot of cutscenes if we went along with the story strictly; some of the stuff wouldn't really be much fun even if converted into the things you suggested. :)

Well, I suppose the first scene, for one. But I guess you could make that an introductory clip. But then there's the various groups traveling across the countryside, people simply talking to each other, the traveling through the tunnel, and…. well, I guess that's all I can think of. Maybe making it into a video game wouldn't be such a bad idea… :D

Cut scenes aren't bad. They give you information on the game's story, and give the heroes a cool place to do some EPIC takedowns of villains!
