Everyone likes cars, right? At least boys do…

What cars do you like?
What is/are your favorite brand(s)?
What engine do you prefer (4, 6, 8 or 10 cylinder and gas, hybrid, diesel or eletric?)

I liked the 2012 Mazda 3 - 4 cylinder, 40MPG, non-electric, 140 HP

Now I am betwixt that and the 2013 (They actually DO have a few 2013s out!) Ford Focus BEV - 4 cylinder, 105MPG, electric (76 mi per charge) and between 140 and 200 HP and 236 lbs of Torque.

My favorite car brand is definitely Porsche. I'm amazed at what Porsche can do with a flat-6 engine. My favorite cars are: the Porsche 911 turbo S, the Porsche GT2 RS, Porsche 918 Spyder (future car), the 2013 Dodge Viper (also a future car), Nissan GT-R, and the Chevy Camaro. The V-8 engine is my personal favorite, but I do like the 6-cylinders in Porsches and GT-Rs. It seems to me that you like cars with high MPG, but as you can see I tend to sacrifice fuel economy for speed.

Me, I'm a Corvette, guy. Man, looking at this forum makes me realize I haven't gotten any car books from the library recently. I also like the Dodge Charger, and Mustang GT, along with the Dodge Viper, which will always have a special place in my heart……along with Lamborghinis.

I totally forgot to mention the Lamborghini Aventador! Best italian supercar ever!

SoulWinner - Yea, you got me there! :) Besides - the 2013/2014 Ford Fiesta (40mpg) is said to get up to 140 MPH!

As to vans, get the Honda Odyssey.
As to trucks, get Dodge–but not the Dodge Dakota
As to cars, Ford Focus BEV or Mazda 3.
As to sport cars…..I like several…..Dodge Charger, Corvette, Mustang…

Really, that's awesome (do you have a price range on the Ford?:). The Porsche 918 Spyder I mentioned earlier gets 30-40 MPG and has a top speed of 199 MPH!

Oh, the Mustang Shelby is pretty cool, and it has the most horsepower of any American made car! (over 640 horsepower)

Did u know that the fastest production car is the Bugatti Veyron? It can go up to 263mph and 0-60 in 2.5s!

What's the engine size (in quarts or liters) of a gas-guzzler like that?
Wow! 0-60 in 2.5 sec…how do they do that?!?
I can go from 0-15 in abt. 3 sec.s on my feet, and our 12-passenger van (Dodge) can go from 0-15 in about 5 sec.s, which means I accelerate faster than our van!
Pretty cool, huh?
(The only downside is my top speed = not very fast compared to a car.)
Dream car? Ummm… something that has 4 wheels, a good engine, and can go at least 100.
As you can tell, I'm not much of a car person.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it gets 1184 Horsepower and 1106 lb-ft torque. It also goes to 100 mph in 4.9 seconds! That's how long it takes a Nissan 370Z to get to 60 mph.

It has a 16.4 liter engine and from what I've heard, it is the worst mpg car driveable in the US.

I agree completely. Cars like that usually get REALLY bad mileage!

That's almost absurdly efficient! (And it's sure to be ridiculously expensive, too.)

A turbo is kinda box shaped, and is located on top of an engine. It feeds pressurized air, or boost, into the engine , making it go faster.

Ahhh, that explains things. More air, more oxygen to burn fuel faster, more speed, more gas used.

Well, we own a Honda Accord and I've gotta say, it's a very dependable car. It's never broken down and gets almost 30 mpg. I love the new redesign, too.
