What is everyones favorite opening? For white I like the English opening or the Queen's gambit. For black, I like the Sicilian defense, queens indian, grunefeld, of Petroffs defense

Notation is how to say what move you made. You know that the chess board has letters a-h horizontally and numbers 1-8 vertically? Using notation, you can say where you moved each piece. You should probably research it. It's kind of hard to explain.
