Somehow I missed your question, sorry about that. No, I've not read any of his other works like the Silmarillion (though I could write a very thorough dissertation on the etymology of that word), but I have read one of his less popular works very unlike the Silmarillion, entitled, "Beowulf: The Monsters and the Critics". A very fine article. :D

Maybe sometime. Isn't it something like this? Eru makes Ainur, Ainur start singing, Melkor starts rapping, some Ainur join him, Eru makes the world, (somewhere along the way they kick Melkor out), Valar invite elves to Aman, Fëanor makes rocks, Melkor takes rocks, everybody fights over rocks.
Forgive me for saying that in such a comical way, but isn't that kind of what it's like? :D

Anyone know of an Elvish font out there?

I know of lots, actually. The one installed on this computer is Tengwar Annatar. Another cool one is Elfic Caslin, which is basically Latin-style tengwar. My favorite (of all, not just those two) is Tengwar Annatar.
