Tell us about your family. How many brothers and sisters do you have? What are their names? What number are you in the family?
The Minica family has 9 children, of which I am the oldest at 15. Our parents are Nelson and Brenda. My siblings are Courtney, 13; Brianna, 11; Philip, 9; Zachary, 6 1/2; Summer, 4 1/2; Melody, 3; Harmony, 1 1/2; and Taylor, our extra-special 7-week old boy who has Down Syndrome. We are a musically-inclined homeschooling family who absolutely loves the Bible Bee!

My family has 7 children…I am the middle child (number 4) at age 14. My parents are Dan and Heather and my siblings are: Daniel, 21; Amy, 19; Bethany, 17; David, 11; Ellia, 6; Faith, 3. We are homeschooled and really enjoy the Bible Bee.

So I noticed that your family's names (except Daniel) all begin with a successive letter of the alphabet… was that intentional??
biblebee
My dad's name is Daniel and so my brother Daniel is a junior. And so there were three of us, Daniel, Amy, and Bethany. My parents realized that and they decided to name their next child (me) a C. Their 2nd boys name was always going to be David and he came at just the right time and so they intentionally named their next child with an E…ellia. When Faith was coming they couldn't decide if we should keep it going or not so we asked our church and they said we should keep it going. Hope that makes sense.

We are the Alexander family! :D My family is a pretty big one–we've got ten now, and another on the way. :) There's my mom and dad of course (Wretched Man and Beloved Wretched Woman on Memverse), then there's Christian (ChiefOfSinners), who is 16, me, Nicolas (SavedByGrace, obviously), who is 14 (almost fifteen!), Rosie (God's Maiden of Virtue), who is 13, Royal (Wretched Son #3), 11, Titus (Wretched Son #4), 8, Ethan, 7, Peter, 3, and Jude, 1. We're expecting the next addition on December 1. We're all homeschooled and always have been, we go to Heritage Reformed Baptist Church, and we participate in the Bible Bee.

I'm the youngest of seven kids. Eight if you count my brother that died the day he was born. All eight of us kids were born in ten years, so we're all pretty close. My oldest sister is married to a pastor, and they have two little girls. My oldest brother is married and has four little boys, the oldest one is only four. The rest of us kids, are working on our family farm. I'm sixteen. Our names are, Naomi, Amos, Isaac, Miriam, Hosanna, Silas, and Priscilla, (me)

I have a 1-year-old sister with Down Syndrome. I just told Mom that your family has a child with Down Syndrome, and she's looking forward to meeting your mom at Nationals.
Do you guys have a blog? My mom just asked me if you guys did. We have a blog and here is the link: http://www.pathsofwrighteousness.wordpress.com

Bethany Meckle
My family must be the smallest one on here… :D I'm the oldest, 15 years old, and my only other sibling is Landon who is 13. He is also about an inch taller than me. :P I also have three "adopted" little brothers - Joshua is 3, and Matthew and Johnathan are 2 1/2 month old twins.
Bethany Meckle
Hey, Priscilla, how old is Silas?
2 Corinthians 5:17
What do you mean when you say "adopted" like that? (In parentheses?)
EDIT: duh, not parentheses, quotation marks :P facepalm
Bethany Meckle
I figured someone would ask! :) Their family and ours are really close and we see them at LEAST once each week. The three-year-old thinks I am his older sister. I'm fine with that! :D
2 Corinthians 5:17
Fun! :)

How old is Silas? Ummm? let me think. His birthday is in July sooooo………. He must be 19 now. (I think)
Bethany Meckle
That's what I thought. :) I remembered that he did Bible Bee last year but Rachel said you were the only Krahn doing it this year. :)

Family...
Reviving thread, or mocking title? :P
Matthew Minica
Sorry, I know you probably had something in mind when you wrote that, but that post merely reminded me of a tobyMac song. =P
2 Corinthians 5:17
Lol…which? xP
S: for sure not mocking the title….I love my family to pieces. XD
Matthew Minica
Tonight/City on our Knees; I never could get straight which was the title and which was the subtitle. I thought you didn't like tobyMac though? ;P
2 Corinthians 5:17
I don't listen to their music, no. xP x)

You could right a parody to Matthew West's song: Forgiveness - about the family. :D

That combination of entries confuses me a bit.
Matthew Minica
What I mean is, are you calling your family "unloveable?"
Andrew
What I mean is, are you calling your family "unloveable?"
Umm…. No. Why?
Matthew Minica
What did you mean then about the song Forgiveness? Now I'm confused…
Andrew
What did you mean then about the song _Forgiveness_? Now I'm confused...
Changing the phrases he uses also not just switching out "forgiveness" for "family".
Matthew Minica
Hmm. Okay. :P
Andrew
Hmm. Okay. :P
I never said it was a great idea. Though it was one of the brighter thoughts from my brain of this evening. :P
Matthew Minica
Lol.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Lol, a couple weeks ago, at our church's annual school picnic, I was eating supper with some friends and told them "I had a great idea"…then a dad walked by right as I said that and, overhearing me, commented: "oh good, I like great ideas." xP Then I felt obligated to tell him my "great idea", Hah. It wasn't that great. xP
