Sloths. so reliable. this took to long to type. :P

No Actually Bears! And Wolves! its a close tie. Bears are Strong and Fierce when defending their young. Wolves, although not as burly and ominous as the Bear, the wolf's strength is in the pack.

@Rosie C. which type of cat? your average lazy fluff ball vs a German Shepherd, or a Lynx vs a Collie (which was bread for looks to the detriment of its brain)?

On average, cats drag in more dead animals then dogs. Is that really what you want out of your house pets?

@Peter- Any cat. I love lazy fluff balls, and Lynx are cute. (BTW it's breed.)

Well, our dogs (Great Pyrenees) have dragged so many possums to our gate it's crazy. Our cats, you know, maybe a bird or two but nothing serious.

Yup, but not all dogs are huge and scary, by the way. :P You're, like, crazy (well, maybe not crazy, but getting close to it. jk)Horses are my favorite animal. Well, along with rabbits. Next thing I know you're going to say you don't like them either. JK =P Have you ever gone horse riding?

Rabbits, are eh. I don't hate them. But my sister's rabbit died and I hate animals dying. I have gone horseback riding, and disliked it. I hate going slower than I can walk, if I ride a horse it will be in a race. LOL

I hate animals dying too, but that doesn't mean you have to stay away from them altogether. I think it's worth it. I now have 1 rabbit. I used to have 2 but one of them died on a cold windy rainy night. It was horrible. I cried for hours. But do you avoid having relationships with people because you don't want to get too close to them and have them die all of a sudden? (not really meant to be answered) kind of jk…
About horses, that's okay. I think I understand that you'd rather walk on your feet than on a horse. But you have to start somewhere. You can't just jump on a horse with no experience riding whatsoever and win a race. You'd fall off most likely. ;) And you can't gallop your horse all the time either. You might even kill them.

@Brianna- I'll give you my generic statement. "You wanna watch?" I'll hire a professional walker.
Don't try to persuade me otherwise. My heart has been broken beyond repair for animals, so I hold tight to the ones that have outlived all the others. I have not had many people just die as soon as I got close to them. Animals have. This is a tender subject for me. I live on a farm that has seen many death, but just as many lives. But the deaths is what breaks my heart. (I just made myself cry…)

Eirene

Okay. I'm not trying to persuade you. I can understand that you can't understand why I love horses and rabbits and dogs and cats and goats and chickens and all the animals in the world, even though I've had some very sad experiences with pets dying as well. My sister Courtney is not an animal person. I am. So I understand. :) I am naturally very affectionate. Maybe those experiences have helped me take better care of my animals, and maybe be even closer to them. …I'm trying not to cry too, remembering all the pets that have died and leaving me to break my heart and blame myself for letting them die…

I understand your love for animals too. But so many have died and left a hole that can't be filled. It may be wrong but I have sealed my heart from loving all animals except cats. Why cats you might ask? No reason other than, they don't push for attention rather they just sit around and let you pet them whenever they fill like it. Hey, but guess who has to do all the animals?

Eirene

:) You? I take care of a lot of the animals around here too. I milk the goats, (all 4 of them;) and usually end up taking care of the cats, as well as my rabbit. :) Okay I've got to go. Goodnight!

Yeah, me. The hater of all animals except cats, rays, river otters, and platypus. I hate having to milk the goats, it always hurts my wrist. I love taking care of the cats… But not the dogs, goats, chickens, or llamas. Thankfully we got rid of the horse. Goodnight.

948cdb340d873d9c441214756ead8f29?s=128&d=mm

Eirene

Whoa! You have more animals than we do! xD We just have goats, chickens, dogs, cats, a rabbit…oh. And a turtle. x) I wish I had a horse…x( Sometimes I dislike milking the goats, but I'm actually doing it voluntarily because it doesn't get done right unless I do it. And the boys chase the goats too. ;P I usually like it. Kids are so cute! xD Oh, btw, a new cat showed up here sometime last night. Well, it's really a kitten. And it has worms, and it's the friendliest kitten I've ever seen. It runs after us like crazy whenever we're outside, and meows at the door whenever we're inside. x) It's meow has a really weird tone - we think it's sick. Matthew gave it some De-wormer…Cheesecake, our mama cat (she has 4 kittens of her own) hissed at it. =/

Yeah, we have too many animals, but with 14 acres you got to have something to eat all the grass… Okay, some kids are cute. Do you know what fainting goats are? We have a kid that is a fainting goat, and its so funny to see him laid out on the ground unable to move. But that also means he more likely to get caught by something.

I love it when new cats/kittens show up. We had a cat show up at our door a couple months ago, and we kept it. Some cats actually have a different meow than others. This one is pretty squeaky and its like he's actually talking to you. De-wormer will probably fix most of its problems, feed it, give it some TLC, and keep it, and PRESTO, you have a new cat! LOL Is the new kitten bigger than the other kittens? If it is she probably being protective, but if it has worms don't let it be near the other kittens, they will share the disease.

948cdb340d873d9c441214756ead8f29?s=128&d=mm

Eirene

:) yeah, we only have like 3 acres or something like that. No, I've never heard of them. x) They sound pretty interesting though.
One time a cat followed my mom and dad home when they went for a walk, because Daddy petted it, and it stayed for a while and even had kittens, but she disappeared recently. =/ No, it's the same size, actually. I'm surprised it's all on it's own and still so young. It probably has a mama and siblings somewhere nearby…maybe in the neighborhood. We might separate it, but all our cats just roam about outside wherever they like so we'd have to put it in a kennel or something to separate them and besides they need to get to know each other. :) The other kittens have accepted it now.

Fainting goats are actually a very rare goat, that has genetic issues, some don't have it very bad and only get a little stiff in the legs, others get it pretty bad and fall over and lay there for a little bit, we used to have a bunch, but its been breed out of them. We have 1 full fainting goat right now and he's still a baby.

Is it active? How old are your kittens? Is it's eyes bright? What color are they? My mom's a vet tech so she's taught me almost everything she knows. LOL

948cdb340d873d9c441214756ead8f29?s=128&d=mm

Eirene

Did you get that breed on purpose?
It is very active - like I said, it runs after us like crazy whenever we're out there. xP So far it hasn't wanted to lie down and take a nap with the other kittens. Um…not sure. I think it's eyes are bright…not used to paying attention for health signs like that with cats. xP

Piece of Peace

Yes. Mom likes weird animals, so we have fainting goats, Great Pyrenees', and llamas.

That's good that its active, if it wasn't active it might be pretty sick. If it's eyes are bright than probably it's only problem will be worms. I'm used to it. LOL It's eyes with cats and llamas. Noses and inside of mouth and eyes with dogs. Eyes and scales with fish. Eyes and back bone with horses, goats, and sheep.

xD I actually know quite a bit about goats, 'cause my grandma is like a goat expert. ;P We trade off nanny's sometimes and usually she keeps the billy.

Sorry I didn't respond until now, Emily. We've actually had 3 turtles. The first was a soft shelled one we found in the tank/pond at our grandparents house, our (fish) tank broke and our cousins were keeping it and it died of heat while they were cleaning the tank. Then Papa found another soft shelled turtle exactly the same, but then for some reason that one died, and recently our cousins gave us a hard shelled turtle. So we have that now. =P

My favorite is the orca they eat great white sharks and everything in the sea and plus they are in the dolphin family.
They are black and white and it looks like they have a big white eye.

Oh, and our mouser drags in more live animals than dead ones. :P She's brought in and dropped at least 3 live mice. O.o The dead ones she leaves by the front door (outside) and sometimes in the yard.

But do you like other animals too? …Rosie doesn't like any other animals except platypuses and other creatures like that. (not really jk…) =P

I for one love all animals. ;D
