Have you listened to the Wissmann Family's "Joy to the World" Christmas CD? (They sang at nationals this year and their website is www.wissmannfamily.com) I've been really encouraged by their family's music and ministry!

I had never before heard the song “the three wise men” till a few weeks ago. My friends were shocked that I didn’t know what it was. :P

I am not usually a fan of Casting Crowns, but I love their version of "Peace on Earth".
Our choir director got a choir version of it, and we sing it before most of our Christmas Cantatas. I personally really like how our adult choir, children's choir, and orchestra (complete with really awesome tubular bells) do it.

I think we are doing it with this year's Cantata; I will try to remember to post a link later, but our church's website has been maliciously hacked, (and we thought no one ever visited it!), so it may not happen.

You'll have to define "Good".... and also tell me your musical preferences.... or else I might offend you with what I suggest. xD

In It Not Of It

what are they?
I think Christmas music should have a distinct "Christmassy" sound to it. Lots of bells and jingles and violin, or an energetic piano. no singing wherein the artist sounds like they are dying :D

… And no singing wherein the artist sounds like they are having a leg amputated :D

It is a REALLY sad song about a boy buying his mother some shoes (she is so sick she is about to die) so that if she sees Jesus tonight she will look beautiful! It is so sweet!

Christmas time gets confusing if you listen to the radio… I mean, the secular stations are playing Christian music, and the Christian stations are playing secular music. :P
