I know! I've come to the conclusion that college is really not for me! I'm hoping to get some extra knowledge and background in different topics that would be useful for business and marriage. I'm actually going to be studying Midwifery soon:)

Joining in here, if you don't mind…… What my family is doing for college, is that all of us children are supposed to enter the healthcare field. The reason for this is that the healthcare field will always need trained workers, and it also offers the opportunities for medical mission trips.

The girls are planning to go to our community college because it is the cheapest version of college. Then we enter into their health science programs. These health science programs only require two years of schooling plus the pre-requisites, in other words these are A.A. or A.S. certifications/degrees. These programs are things such as nursing, radiologic technologist and ultrasound technician. Since girls would probably not be working for that long (until they are married) we wanted an education that didn't require a lot of years of school but still yielded a fairly good job when you are done. When you are finished with the program, we will be able to get a job with a fairly high amount of pay as well as be able to support ourselves, and go on mission trips to help others. The idea is that we will have some education at a minimal cost as well as the ability to get a fairly good paying job and some practical knowledge.

Thanks for the insights about what your family is doing. It sounds like you all have a good plan that will prove useful to all of you in the future. May I ask how old you are ? And what your name is? I'm just wondering if I know who you are:)

Uh… Apparently my Geometry class is a bit different than yours. :P I have not yet gotten to the part of the book that deals with sine, cosine, and tangent, so, I guess I can't use that formula yet. :) I'll be sure to when I do, though! :)

You'll get there though, I'm sure. I didn't get to learn about it till around lesson 80 or so. It's the one big fun thing in Geometry though!

I don't think you know who I am….so my name is Sarah. My family competed in the Bible Bee in 2009, 2010 and 2012. We will hopefully be competing again this year. My family has had someone qualify for Nationals all of those years. The Bible Bee is my reason for being on Memverse:)

Ok, so I don't think I've met you, but if you have someone at Nats this year, I will hopefully meet you, because we are going to be volunteering again:) The Bible Bee is wonderful, it is a great reason to be on Memverse:) I competed and made it to Nationals twice, before "Graduating" from Bible Bee, to helping host and volunteer last year. The Bible Bee has made a HUGE impact on my life, and on my future. I don't think I'll ever get too old for it:)

I really don't think it's terribly important for girls to be experts in math, unless you're going to do quadratic equations to figure out the ingredients for a recipe:)
