Does anyone know how the hurricane in the Philippines affected Mr. Walker and STT Setia Ministry?
Has anyone heard from them?

From Phil Walker- Hi. Sorry to break the stay on topic rule I myself worked on enforcing a few months back in the pre-forum days of Memverse. Yes, we live on campus here at STT Setia on the edge of Jakarta (20 minutes from the airport in case anyone is coming through) on the island of Java. Jacky's family (mostly located in a small flood prone village in north Manila) is safe. Winds have been strong and created some damage, but nothing like the devastation on islands south of Manila. Jacky has emotionally been distraught as several of her friends she keeps in touch with from her Bible school and seminary days in the Philippines have families in the hardest hit areas. Please continue to pray for the Philippines; for the church to be strong and loving; and for God to get the glory in the aftermath of the typhoon. Can someone please forward this response to the forum page where Marie Morris first asked the question. Sorry for my lack of correspondence that can lead to people wondering about us. I hope to get another picture filled newsletter out this week. If anyone not already on our newsletter list wants to receive it, you can email me at philjohn1558@yahoo.com.

Keep praying. Especially those in Bohol.(That's where my dad is from and my sis was born.) There was supposed to be a typhoon hitting today. Scary.
