Landry Academy

Do any other Memversers take any Landry Academy classes? If so, which one(s)? Jenna and I are taking German I this year, and we're really enjoying it =)

If no one else does any Landry Academy classes, I'll delete this, but I thought it'd be fun to find out whether any of you guys know about it ;)

5th year at Landry, taking Calculus, Intermediate Composition, Advanced Chemistry, and Introduction to Biomedical Engineering. :)

Coolness! :) So what's your favorite?

Tie between Intermediate Comp and Intro to Biomed. Comp is way more fun than I thought it would be. I was expecting just a lot of grammar rules and boring writing assignments, but it's way more than that. We do learn grammar rules, but they're a fun challenge, and not an annoying obligation. And, since I get to choose the topic of my writing assignments, writing about LOTR, anime, and video games makes me happy. :) Intro to Biomed is also fun, because we talk about the human body, and about different diseases, and talk about ways that they have been combated and counteracted. Since we don't have a textbook, our teacher gives us a series of questions pertaining to our weekly topic for homework. Our most recent was Diabetes and Obesity, so we had to do a lot of independent research to answer all the questions. It's a change, but a good one. :)

Wow! That sounds awesome! I definitely would really enjoy a composition class, though I'm not so sure about biomed. It sounds very interesting (sehr interessant), though! ;)

How long have you been doing Landry?

Well, this is my first year taking an online class, but I did a two-day biology lab last year.

Weird Cyber schoolers xD jk jk lol I sat next to a cyber schooler today when I was taking the PSATs. She has some sort of comic book I didn't get a chance to ask her about it though. :(

Hey, I actually know what sehr means in German! :) (Foreign musical terms come in handy sometimes)

I haven't taken any classes at landry, but a couple of my brothers have. Ben just was at a blacksmithing class a few days ago and did really well - apparently he was the best student the teacher ever had.
