Memverse Movie Ideas

I'm in the same boat… My acting skills aren't too terrible, and could probably improve if I worked on them. However, I have the added challenge of a super-packed schedule, and starting PSEO next year probably won't help that any. :-) But if there's a way I can still be a part of the movie, I'd love to!

@Bethany and Sarah - Hopefully I will have enough recording parts that we can include you without making you act anything. ;) Shoot me an email and I'll get you a part you're comfortable with.

Edit - voice recordings I mean. Plus, you are more than welcome to write up screen plays for how we might be able to act out each part! :) I'll need a lot of creative minds!

Heh. That would be fun. It might not be enough to make an entire movie about, but that could be a part of it. Things looked so good for desks' rights until the jury started facedesking…
I could also provide the elvish voice-over that I'm sure we all want. Or at least the elvish dub.

(If not SC #10 will be fun to shoot with all the people falling through the ceiling)

That would be fun! I'm not going to write that screenplay, but look forward to reading someone else's write up of it!

All scenes need to be under 5 minutes in langth… or it might be a very long movie. I don't want the whole thing to be more than 30 minutes long - if possible. I might (MIGHT) make an exception at some point if I deem some scene especially good.

Not sure if I would be the best one to do the PETD - I wasn't here for the beginning of it.

To those of you who say they have never acted: Ever played house before? good start. Pretended you were dog or horse? that's even better. now just work on talking like Shakespeare (or Deadpool, they'er practically the same) and you'll do just fine.

_Basic idea: Two people (parent and child) in conversation talking about who's who. Example: "No, he's not from that family – but he does go to the same church…. That one's from Missouri, but she did meet the other person from California last year… etc."

The idea I have for the Ohio vs. Michigan scene is like this:

Steve: states a fact about Michigan
Sarah: "Seriously?! That's nothing! Ohio is home to the football hall of fame! Pause Btw, do you know who won the last football game, Michigan or Ohio?"
Steve: "Don't know. Do you?"
Sarah: "naw. I don't watch football."
Steve: "Me either"

How about like me and James.

I'm having difficulty visualizing how this "movie" will be carried out. These ideas seem like they'd be better for something like a YouTube video called "You Know You're a Memverser If…" :) How are you planning on making scenes for this? Will there be a plotline, or will it be simply a number of funny clips?

It will be a number of funny clips, much like how they do the, "You know you're in the Bible Bee when…" videos. Only we have different ideas. It's a little bit hard to explain, so that's why I was hoping to call you. ;)

Actually, I think maybe he does in a way… he hates video calls. They are awkward to him, but not to me. It's ok to feel awkward sometimes, but don't let it control you. :)

Well, regardless of my attempts to control it, awkwardness follows me wherever I go. It's easier for some than for others to keep it from happening, I guess. :P

*Abigail and I are going to be doing some filming when we get together next weekend, so in preparation I started looking for the scenes we would work on. I got cought up in it and started to just write down all the ideas that came to mind, and listing the ones I really like!
