A mindblow situation? Wouldn't it be a mindblowing situation? Or is this supposed to be weird sounding too?
They're kind of the same thing. "Mindblow" is a noun or an adjective; "mindblowing" is strictly an adjective. :)
But mindblowing _sounds_ correct. xP
Yes, it does, but, again, since when does Internet speak sound correct? ;) Think _peoples_. =P
Nope. Totally different. I already use bad grammar and whatever else, but you guys are so good at stuff like that... and yes, I do like my word, thank you. =)
But your word originated from Internet speak, whether you realize it or not, so my point still stands. ;)
WHAT? IT DID?! How disappointing! How disappointing! *How disappointing*!!
Am I to believe that you were under the impression that you created this word/phrase? XD
Not at all. It was a word before and I'm sure many, many people have used it in the context I do. But not that it originated from someplace that I have no contact with whatsoever...
Yes, to my knowledge, it certainly had its origination online. I can sort of tell with things like that, just by their nature. So wherever you heard it from, that source/those sources ultimately got it from the Internet.
Hang on. I made up the word in my own world, knowing that other people must have used it in history before, but I did not hear the word from someone else who heard it from someone else. I just made it up in that sense.... if that makes any sense. xP
That makes some semblance of sense. And it leaves me with barely any other option than to believe that you really came up with something on your own that paralleled something that someone else originally came up with on the Internet. I'm still not entirely sure that's exactly what happened, but that's as far as I can tell right now.

How about more like this: I accidentally said the word peoples instead of people one day, decided I liked it, and now use it all the time? ;) Doesn't that work as well?

These are, like, my favorite kinds of conversations to have. xD They're absolutely pointless but I engage in them as if they hold all of the meaning in the world. And I can't explain that. It's a mystery to me. Even these sentences are a mystery to me as I'm writing them.

I'm sorry, but I think with the personality that I have, I just accept the tried and true ways of life. If that is what you want to call numbers that. They seem to work effectively, and therefore, there is no real reason to question it. Which is, technically, probably horrible in the long run…

In some ways, it's not good for the long run. But in other ways – and especially when it comes to the concept of numbers, which is so incredibly complex – it's probably more beneficial to just accept that they work, that they are extremely helpful in innumerable ways (pun intended), and that God has guided us into the use of them. Therefore, there's no reason to question them.

I don't think it'll all go over your head. But I just want you to have a better idea of what I'm talking about. And when you do watch it, know that I am somewhat torn between the second and third options that he gives. And the only thing that keeps me from fully embracing Option 3 is my biblical worldview. Otherwise I would find it entirely consistent with naturalism and humanism. But I lean more toward Option 2, which, incidentally, is the persuasion of the guy in the video.

Ah, okay. So yeah, it is kinda dangerous to live not ever questioning much of anything. But at the same time, I think that's better than a personality like mine that is always questioning. Sometimes it's difficult to have faith when the default in your mind is always doubt. If there's a reason to doubt, my mind always wants to go with it. So in this sense, I wish I had your personality, which is a lot more similar to "simple, childlike faith."

For example, as I've been reading through Genesis recently – and especially as I was reading the earlier chapters – even though I believe deep down that everything written there is true and is the product of the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, I found many reasons to let myself doubt that as I was reading. I found many things that initially appear contradictory and without a good solution, which I know have a solution, but because there's that possibility there that the solution could be wrong, my mind likes to go with the possibility instead of just believing what I know is true – that God's Word is perfect and there are no contradictions, therefore the solution to the apparent contradiction must be accurate.

Hopefully that at least makes a little bit of sense…

Yeah, that makes sense. Probably a good thing to deal with them and figure it out in your mind so that they don't grow and that you are assured even more than you ever doubted that it is true.

Don't think I mentioned to you that I got another Scriptorium chapter for ours. xP So now I'm really on a crunch to have both perfected in time. Edit - but I made really good progress on Luke 14 and am almost finished prefecting it!
Haha, nice! I wondered if that would happen. I figured you guys would be the "understudies" for any chapters that didn't get chosen. ;) I will probably have to do the same soon. So I will probably try to finish John 6 tomorrow. Then I may start in on John 5 or another chapter that doesn't have any takers on the website yet.

What happens if you register for just attending the scriptorium, and then don't go. Does someone get mad at me? Or what if you don't register but show up anyways?

Can't believe ours is coming up so fast, and yours too! Less than 4 months! I really have myself weighed down with souch memory week, it is almost overwhelming to keep straight…

Very true! I forgot to mention that. That is a huge advantage to having the doubting mind that I do: when I doubt, I am all the more motivated to find out how and why I should believe that something is true. And when I go to all that effort, I usually come out with more faith because of all of the evidence behind it. So I suppose I do like my personality in this case a little bit. xP

You need to register if you're going to come. I suppose if you register but don't come… We can deal with that, but we'd rather it not happen. xP I'm assuming you're asking because you don't know for sure yet if you can come?

I cannot cannot fathom the Alexanders getting mad at a situation like that. XP

But, just in case they will. :P

Eek, it does sound overwhelming. Especially with your other memorization goals…

We certainly wouldn't be mad if you showed up without registering. And we wouldn't turn you away. It just really helps us know how much food to be prepared to provide. Plus, if you register, then you get free lodging and you don't have to pay for a hotel. ;)

Very true. So technically, yours is starting to sound better. jk. ;)

Lol, well, I can't decide. So I'll just be happy with mine and you can be happy with yours, because they both have their pros and cons. ;)

I know! My minor prophet memory, my 2 Cor. memory, and another memory thing I'm doing with my mom, on top of all the Scriptorium stuff.

Um, yeah, and I most likely wont be able to know by whatever day the website said.
