Ever heard Remain by Royal Tailor? :)
Oh, BTW, How Great is Our God is by Chris Tomlin - although I wouldn't be surprised if Matt Redman did a cover of that song one time or another. Your Grace Is Enough, if you're thinking of the same one I am, is by Matt Maher.
Mommy's Helper
Who has heard of the song "Little Brown Jug"? I'm trying to perfect it right now on the piano.
Ian R.2
I have, I just was in such a hurry to get it done, that I forgot to add it. I also forgot several other songs. :}
Thanks!

The worst and most cringe-worthy quotes from christian songs:
"I'll be the GPS when you've lost your phone!" ~Tobymac. WHAAA?
"I pledge allegiance to be somebody real…" ~Lecrae and Britt Nicole. How do you pledge allegiance to be something?! You can only pledge allegiance to a person or organization or idea! And are they currently fake people?
"Love is more than a word, its a noun and a verb…" ~same as above. Aren't nouns and verbs words?! Or have I been tricked by the incompetent homeschool material?
"I'll dance for you like the rising sun!" ~some weirdo. The rising sun dances?!
"Mountains crumble at every syllable…" ~tobyisweird. No they do not. Double check your research. And besides, that sounds HORRIBLE!
Abigail Rose
I agree, these are all terrible!!!

Maybe in your opinion, but you can't go around saying that just because you yourself think that. (And mind you, this is coming from someone who doesn't even like that song)

I wonder if there are bible references to justify any of this nonsensical stuff. ^I'm sure there isn't^
In my opinion, christian music should be held to a higher standard then the non-christian.

deek.
Apparently you like those quotes!
!
!
Will you dance for me like the rising sun? Or would you rather pledge allegiance not to be fake anymore?
Seriously, dude? I posted these because they funny! You gotta agree with that!
Here's another:
"Tonight could last forever!" ~TobyMac. Tonight could not last forever, that is scientifically impossible.
Roy Phillips
you should make a new tread for this!

How can you endorse songs with bad words in them???
Matthew Minica
Point taken, but still, I can't really imagine Toby singing "Tonight could have a lasting impact" instead. :P

(edited that last word a little) Totally agree with you, Noah!!!
^I like CCM, but some of them get a little weird - and I really don't like TobyMac. :P^
Sarah B.
My suggestion to you, Noah, is that you take the songs you don't like the word's to and change them… come up with a fix for the problem. ;)
Barachel the Buzzite of the Kindred of Ram
What is this strange sorcery is this that Ian and Rosie (sounds nice together like that) cannot see the ridiculosity of these quotes?! It is quite obvious to me and Deadpool that they make no sense, and even we are off the wall and weird.
Bethany Meckle
Hey, good idea! I'll help. :P
EDIT - wait, he started.
"Oh tonight's the night!" "For Howard and his saints!" "The Punisher collides!" "in a gory-ous fray" "'cause its all blood tonight!" "because they stepped across the line!" More to come.

Noah I really don't think you get it. You're just posting that to get attention, and maybe get a big discussion going, even if you don't realize it. (This has actually happened to me a couple times.) I can see some of your points, but could you not call the artists bad names? Just that makes me want to disregard all your comments. Also, you're just doing it to artists that you don't like, doesn't Skillet, or Imagine Dragons, or some other band that you like do this? If you can give some examples of lines from some of your favorite bands' songs, then I might begin to believe you.
BTW, in response to your last example, I can give a personal experience that explains that line. When I was bullied at camp, I had put up barriers (or mountains) around me, so that my friends had trouble interacting with me. I basically became a mental hermit for a few hours, until my counselor came up to me and was able to take those mountains down with kind and encouraging words. That's what tobyMac meant, when he said "Mountains crumble with every syllable". My mountains crumbled with every syllable that my counselor said to me, and I was almost back to normal after that. :)
Barachel the Buzzite of the Kindred of Ram
He knows your true intentions! Then we shall call him Ian Xavier.
I know that bands I like say stupid stuff. but I can't remember anything as bad as the quotes I said above. And you're only offended because you like those artists I mentioned.
When you were bullied at camp, you should have put up your fists, not mountains. mountains do nothing. They are only fit to be named, measured, and then climbed, and possibly fallen off of.
However, if a syllable changed your life I shall not be against it. I should not gave called them names, and therefore I have edited that. But the strangeness of the quotes remain.
And if you're so worried about me excluding Skillet and Imagine Dragons, why don't you bring something that's as bad as "I'll dance for you like the rising sun" to the discussion, and I shall laugh at it as well.
BTW, does this make sense to you? "Love is more than a word, its a noun and a verb…"
Ian R.2

I am a little offended, but not overly so. I mean you would react the same way if I called one of your favorite bands a bad name.
Yeah, me putting up my fists against say 8-9 kids. That would have worked. Also we shouldn't lash out at people who offend us. We should really show them kindness. Although that's not what I was doing either, that was two years ago, and I've learned some things since then. :)
Thank you.
I've actually never understood that line myself, but I don't have the time to put up any lines that I think could match it right now. :)
