Yes, I've heard that it is being worked on, but 2014 seems really early for it to come out…we'll see. I'm a bit disappointed that they're doing Silver Chair…I wish they'd do one that hasn't been made into a movie yet. I just hope they don't ruin it.

All of them have been made into movies... I can't wait to see the Silver Chair- it's my favorite book! Except I think that they have a new director, so we'll see how it is!

Indeed? I only know of LWW, PC, VDT, and SC being made into movies.

Bad stuff? The books are really good. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, for example, is the story of Jesus dying on the cross basically. They all are similar, but they aren't, if you know what I mean. ;) I really don't know how to sum it up, though…maybe someone else could do better than me. ;)

Well, it depends on what sort of bad stuff you heard. Also without know your family's preferences and stances its hard to give helpful reviews. I've heard of some people objecting to Narnia because of the fantasy involved. If anyone is objecting on literary grounds, however, I'd have something to say to them! It really depends on what you've heard. Maybe if you could explain more we could help? (Personally, I love the books; the movies it depends.)

The books were really good. My mom read them to me when I was pretty little, and I've read them several times sense then too. I have a problem though, with 1. I do not agree with some of the theology and 2. I don't know about the magic…

The videos were okay… Prince Caspian they added a lot of romance which I totally did not appreciate. The other two were pretty good though. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe stuck pretty close to the book, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, not so much, but I still liked it.

mmm…that's true about theology there are a couple "off" spots. But on the other hand, if you only read books whose theology completely agreed with your own, you'd be pretty much limited to the Bible…unless you were a prolific author yourself I suppose.

Really, I notice C.S. Lewis's theology much more in his non-fiction books, but I still read and enjoy them. I think it makes one's theology stronger to understand where others are coming from. That is a good point though, that some families might have an issue with. (I think there's a thread somewhere that more specifically mentions some of Lewis's theological ideas? Probably in the Theology discussions forum.)

Yeah, I agree. I don't mind reading books that I don't entirely agree with the Theology. That's just part of the disclaimer. :P

Supposedly, it will come out in 2014, and the next in 2015. I don't know which one is the next.

Probably "The Last Battle" will be next so that they don't have to worry about the people playing Eustace and Jill growing up.
