Pets!

This is a place to talk about ur pets and pets in general and their funny antics. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats/ kittens. They r almost cats but I still call them kitten. Lol. They r named Arwen and Eowyn from The Lord of the Ring! :) I have friends that live on a farm and they have around 26 cats! It's like cat land! They just got a cow 2! And they have like 10 horses too! And 3 dogs! And like 20 sheep! And like 15 goats! And all different kinds of chickens! And like 10 rabbits! And…….. Ok maybe I should stop now. :) yeah they have a lot of animals lol.

Wow… that IS a lot of animals! :) We, however, have only ever had one pet: a frog that died less than a month after we got it. :P Our mom really does not like animals in the house, so we have never had a real pet. :)

I had a Bearded Dragon once, but he died. I'd like to get a ferret though!

We used to have some fish, and a couple of tadpoles.

Yeah when I was younger we had lots of different fish that died. I love watching ferrets at the pet store they r really fun to watch when they fight…. They r kinda brutal though lol. Has anyone had a hamster before? My cousin had 2 hamsters before and they were not very intelligent. The one thought he could get away from the other one by running on the hamster treadmill. Lol

We have three cats and a dog. One of the cats (Ebony) is the mother of one of the others (Toothless).

I live on a small farm and have….16 cats, 3 dogs, 15 cows, 3 horses, and a bird. Every once in a while I'll see a coyote or two, a few deer, and even some mice! :)

Yes we did. His eyes look the same and he's black.

My friends that I was talking about live on a farm and they have foxes and bobcats sometimes.
@ Abi - that's so funny u say that because I have a little black and white kitten (mostly black she is named Arwen) and my mom always says she looks like toothless! :)

I found 2 really funny pet videos on this Christian health website they have a news letter if u haven't subscribed u should it could save ur pets life, I just found out the other day that the treat we were giving my dogs were responsible for a bunch of pet deaths besides there r a lot of funny pet videos these r two of my favorites! I laughed until I cried watching the second one!

Ebony got hit on the road a couple weeks ago. It's hard to say if Toothless or I miss her more. :-( I've been petting him a lot so he doesn't feel lonely.

Well, we DO have that other cat (Abalone) who, unfotunately, is mortal enemies with Toothless. :-(

Abalone's mom abandoned her when she was only a couple days old, so she's a bit unpredictable.

I have an adorable Chihuahua named Cookie Dough :) other than that, we've had about 27 goldfish that all died in less than a month, a few betas, one too many hamsters…hmm, I'm going to have to figure out how many we had lol just a sec…Katie, Cookie, Creamy, Caramel, Grace, Gracie Rose (who had five babies; one died, we gave one away, sold two, and kept one, Midnight), Buttons, and Butterscotch. They don't live long, and their cages reek. lol

So, right now we have:
An out-door cat (everyone but my mom is allergic to cats) named Thomas.
Four rabbits (dad, mom and two of the baby boys) named Mike, Lucy, Peter and Andrew. They're Dutch rabbits, which are the ones that look like oreo cookies. :)
And my brother is raising a pig for the fair right now.

Me too! :D Well…I did showmanship with a rabbit at the fair once when I was like 6? It was really fun! :) But that's the only time it worked out to do it at the fair. A couple years ago I just did showmanship through 4-H (not at the fair). I kinda liked that better than the fair, but we couldn't go the next year or this year.

I'm trying to train Toothless to obey hand commands so he can be in a movie. He already knows "lie down" and "go over there" (which way my finger is pointing) and "come", but he doesn't always obey them.

I don't know yet…something that involves lying down, going over there, coming over here…if you can write a movie that involves a black cat (that is terrified of dogs and loves water), just let me know! Hopefully he'll be trained by then. LOL.

I don't think that will be very easy, but a professional writer could… I think. jk I didn't know you could train cats like you train dogs. :)

It's still in progress…I unintentionally "taught" him to jump up on the sink…

I turned on the sink when I was holding him in the kitchen and he jumped from my arms onto the counter and started drinking from the faucet. Now he does it whenever I turn on the faucet.

Lol! My cats are TTLY freaked out by water. :) does he have a water bowl? :) lol

Yes, but he prefers moving water. :-)

Toothless acts like the cat at 2:35 in the video, except he doesn't duck his head under the water.

See above comments; she's accidentally trained her cat to jump into the water while she's washing dishes! Well, she didn't say she was washing dishes, but what else do you do with kitchen sinks? :P
