Problem with MemVerse's 'pace' of memorization

Hey guys, I'm a fairly new Memverse user. I've been around since the start of March. I've been working through the book of James. Had Chapter 1 memorized entirely–on Memverse–since the end of April. For some reason, MemVerse won't let me 'memorize' Chapter 2. [My max interval is set to 1 month, and for my Ch. 2 verses, all their intervals remain stubbornly in the high teens and low twenties—for nearly 3 months now].

It's getting to be an annoyance b/c I actually HAVE memorized the chapter (even Ch. 3 is now memorized mentally, but at least not too much time has elapsed since I added those verses). I'm posting here to ask for tips on how to fix this. I've patiently waited for months now; is there some way to expedite the whole thing? I've been through the help pages but nothing seems to touch on/even envision this problem. I'm open to hearing all comments and advice. Thanks for reading!

Hi FroMaestro,

Welcome to the Memverse forums! I have approved your first post and all future posts will be automatically approved.

In the future, please post support requests to the "Feedback" tab on the right of every page. We get emails about all feedback. I only saw this because I had to approve your post, but we (developers and support) are not able to read every forum post.

To answer your question, though… When you review verses, sometimes Memverse gives you other verses in the passage/chapter that are not due for review. These verses have a fast-forward "»" icon so you can skip them. If you do not skip them, Memverse will not increase the interval, because it doesn't know how well you would have done if you had reviewed them when they needed to be reviewed.

So my recommendation is to skip verses whenever you can, at least until they're counted as memorized.

I hope this helps. And please let us know if you have any other questions.

Alex

Thanks for the reply! That was helpful. I've started using it, and hopefully it'll reap rewards soon.
As a smaller question, is the Accuracy feature randomized? (B/c it keeps making me start with James 1:1, which is unappealing when I'm far deeper in the book, and have begun other sections in Scripture. Please lemme know. Thanks again!
