Okay, so most of you probably know our family has two cats. Our girl cat (Portia) got spayed earlier this year. Afterwards she had a small skin rash/disease for a little while. There was a little bit around the incision and some on her back leg. After a while it cleared up (I tried putting some tea tree il on the stuff on her stomach; she licked it off and stared foaming at the mouth because I had forgotten to dilute it! Oops…not doing that again), but in the past week it has come back, this time on her front left leg. It's getting really itchy for her, and she keeps biting and licking at it. (That happened last time.)

Have any fellow cat owners had that happen to their cats before? If so, how did you fix it? For those of you who study herbs, what would you recommend me putting on it? (Other than diluted tea tree oil) and a question for everyone that I'll just throw out there: what do you think caused it?

Thanks!

Well, very honestly, I have no idea what could have caused it. As far as I remember, we've never had that problem before. I do know that a long time ago one of our cats, Frodo, somehow cut himself really deep on his chest between his front legs. We put honey on it, and it healed up. That's one thing that I might suggest that you try on your cat, but it needs to be raw honey. It didn't hurt our cat when he licked it off, but his tongue did get stuck. :-)
