Sarah B.

I saw that post on SC #9, Sarah, and I'm not going over there since we reached the limit. :P

I am going to talk to other people about this (off Mv) but as far as I'm concerned we have not reached the limit yet. :)
From the very start we said we would go beyond 1000.

Who are you going to talk to about it?

Actually you're not from the south...where y'all live is the north. And southerns know that "y'all" is the proper way...not "ya'll". XP

Actually, to anyone who understands apostrophes it would be obvious that one should write it "y'all" because the apostrophe belongs in the place where the letters are missing.

I am from Washington state, so I don't use that particular mash of words, but if I did, I would write it "y'all".

Mmhhmm. But normally people from the north spell it "ya'll"

That is because the people from the north assume that southerners do not understand punctuation, or use it wrong on purpose ("even the punctuation has a southern accent" or something like that).

FOR YOUR INFORMATION: I am making this up as I go.

Maybe so…and yes, southerns do use wrong punctuation, spelling and grammar because that's how they talk but as you yourself pointed out it should "y'all".

The problem is mostly that the northerners who are attracted to the southern accent usually are the northerners who do not consider understanding punctuation as important.

Yeah, it's definitely "y'all." And I'm from NC, so I should know ;) However, I do have a lot of German blood (at least 51%), so I speak like a northerner, use proper grammar, and hardly EVER use "y'all." So, I'm basically a northern southerner, if that's possible. XD

I'm a northern southerner too kind of! From ohio! I'm still working on picking up the southern accent and dropping the northern one that no one can understand here!

Speaking of southern accents…

We were selling one of our baby goats several months ago, and we had this family come to see if they wanted to buy him. The dad had a REALLY southern accent, and he was telling us a story. He said something about a "kay-o" acting like the dog and how funny it was. My mom though he meant a coyote or some kind of bird. Finally the man's daughter (who was less southern-sounding) explained, slightly embarrassed, that he was saying "cow." We all got a good laugh! It was sooo funny =D

Now we kids always joke and say "kay-o" instead of cow ;)

Really?? Wow. I have a lot of northern friends here in NC, and I've never had anyone not be able to understand me o__o

My dad said that a lot of northerners have the good sense to come down to the warm, beautiful South; and that's why we have a lot of northerners here ;) I'm happy with that explanation! Lol!

Yeaaaahh. But they're not too bad unless you live near swamps and things. And besides, they're better than piles and piles of snow and freezing cold year-round. IMHO anyways :)

Well, not year-round, but ya know what I mean ;)

Actually besides this winter, our winters have been pretty… mild. This year was a bit too cold though. :P

But I'm sure Pennsylvania's beautiful. I'd love to visit there someday ;) Some friends (they're on Memverse too, though not the forums much) used to live there, and I think they loved it (except shoveling all the snow!).

Do you live in the city or the country?

Pennsylvania is beautiful. I love living here, and I don't think I would want to go anywhere else. (Well except maybe Middle Earth, or the Star Wars universe, or somewhere fictional. :P)

I live in the suburbs actually. :)

33caa731aa135531af9eb65eabf44803?s=128&d=mm

Emmy

Oh, okay. Haha, yeah, if I wanted to live somewhere fictional, I'd prolly choose Narnia ;)

Hey, if you could live in any (non-fictional) time period, what century and area would you choose?

2e50a495c286814b1cf94a1e725f50fc?s=128&d=mm

Ian R.2

That's a tough one. Um… Probably during the Middle Ages or something. But I'm not really sure. :)

33caa731aa135531af9eb65eabf44803?s=128&d=mm

Emmy

I believe I was put where I am for a reason, too. BUT I'm just asking what time period you think would be the most interesting to be living in BESIDES now. I'm not asking you to make some life-changing decision or anything ;)
