The period between "time" and "Madi" does not belong. A sentence needs a noun and a verb (as well as being a complete thought, but asking people to keep that rule is a little outrageous –even for me).

Maybe he wanted a dramatic pause between time and Madi. Almost like he was forgetting to call me that and then remembering. Which, IMHO, would be a time for an ellipses! :P

Not unless it is a noun and a verb. So I guess that you could say something like: "Amazing!" If it is both something's state of being and the action it is doing. I not sure, though.

Of course, grammar rules were only invented for the fun of the editors and publishers at the expense and frustration of authors.
