It was about Pokemon. I don't know much about it but what I do know isn't to good. I didn't have time to say anything else so I just posted the link.If you believe that, I respect your view. I myself have a lot of differing opinions with my best friends, and that's okay. In fact, the more different you are from someone, the more you value a good relationship with them. Now, about the article, (only on what I skimmed, so correct me if I'm wrong), I personally have not problem with them having special abilities, because it's _their world_. Otherwise, I should be mad about the "gods" of Narnia, or the "witchcraft" of LOTR. Or even the "super powers" of so many comic book heroes. But I'm not. Because, that's how their world works. And in all of the worlds I mentioned, Pokemon as well, good always wins, and bad is always shown as bad. Bad is *never* made out to be good, and evil is _always_ punished. I do understand where the author is coming from though. Pokemon classified as "Ghost" or "Psychic" will make you cringe. But, that only describes their abilities. And, it makes you cringe because in our world, it's associated with magic (the real, witchcraft kind, not card tricks or slight-of-hand). That's my main beef with *all* fantasy, that an undiscerning person may go "Hey, magic in this book/movie/game is good, lemme look up some real magic!". That's plain wrong. But, in another world where that's just how they are born (take for example, super heroes) I don't believe that is bad. Just like in LOTR, Narnia, Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, and all of those fantasy worlds we know and love. I hope I'm not coming off as judgmental, or angry, or mean in any way. Like I said, I respect your opinion. This is just my view. :)
Thank you for taking the time to look at the article, and consider my outlook on Pokemon. I understand what you mean by good friends having very different options (Proverbs 27:17).
I was not meaning to force my convictions in your face, I was just asking you to think about it again. I see where you’re coming from as well. It is sad when Christians can’t get along just because they have different beliefs and opinions that sometimes don’t really matter.
Hiruko Kagetane
No…I used SearchOhio to search all of the libraries across Ohio for it, and it's still "In Transit", according to my library account. :(
BTW, have you heard of christiananime.net? It's a cool Christian-owned site where you can read reviews about anime and manga and talk about them, and things like that.
Ian R.2
No I haven't. Maybe I should check it out. :)

Thanks. I respect a person who takes a look at something and asks "Why do we do this?" It shows that you're actually thinking about your actions, and it's kind of a teenager stereotype to not think about things. :P I enjoy having a debate/discussion on things we as the Memverse community might disagree on, it lets us re-evaluate the reasons we do things, and why we believe what we believe.
Hiruko Kagetane
Yeah, they're really great!
Anyhoo, how's your day been?
Ian R.2
It's been good. I got a workout in, and played on the Wii, and finished up my school for the week. :)
Hiruko Kagetane
Sweet! I had Bible Study this morning, came to the office for Introduction to Engineering class, had a pipe in a heater burst and leak tremendously here (it's stopped, but half of the floor is still wet. :P), and right now, I'm chatting with you all.
Ian R.2
That sounds like fun! :P
biblebee
That sounds like fun! :P
Hiruko Kagetane
IKR? Especially having to hold a cup under the pipe and drain it into a trash can. :P
Anyways, I'm trying to get all my weekly work done. I've got Pre-Calc and Chem down, Physics today, and hopefully ITE and SAT/ACT by Friday. :)
So, what were you playing on your Wii?
Ian R.2
Endless Ocean: The Blue World. There's so much mystery in it even after the main story is finished. :)
Hiruko Kagetane
Sweet! I've been playing Batman: Arkham City (my sister's game. :P) and Nintendo Land on our Wii U. I'm hoping we can ge some more games soon.
biblebee
What kind of job do you want to have when you are older?
Ian R.2
Is the Wii U any good? I heard it wasn't so great.

Biomedical Engineer. But…I did just see a vid on Electrical and Software Engineers in class today…I might change my preference…
Hiruko Kagetane
It's pretty good! We love it! I am looking forward to the next Nintendo console, but if you get one, you'll have no complaints! :)
Ian R.2
I think I'll stick to the Wii for now. Especially since my mom and dad would prefer not to have another video game console in the house. :)
biblebee
Okay.
Because of my personality it says that I should be an engineer, police, crime dectitve or scientist… :P

LOL!
"Can he lead a normal life?"
"No. He'll be an engineer."
Story of my life. Last week, I took apart and fixed our Blu-Ray. :P
Sarah B.
Because of what??? :P

We only managed to get ours because our Wii broke. :P But, by the time the next Nintendo console comes out, I'll be an adult, so if I have the time, I could buy it myself. If I have nothing better to do. :P
Sarah B.
LOL!
biblebee
I took a personality quiz and because of my personality it says those would be the best jobs for me…
Sarah B.
What kind of personality quiz? where?
Ian R.2
LOL! I'm not sure what my mom and dad would do if our Wii broke. They probably would just get us a new one, or not do anything at all. :P
biblebee
Personalitypage.com
I think it costs something to do it though…
Hiruko Kagetane
If that happened, you could always get an emulator. But I do like being able to go into a store and buy my games. :P
Sarah B.
Ha- that's to bad… or I might try it. :)
Ian R.2
What's an emulator?
biblebee
Well it is the different pages for each personality. You could read those and figure out which is most like you.
Hiruko Kagetane
A program that "pretends" to be a console, so that you can play games for that console on your computer. I have one for about every Nintendo system up to the Wii.
