You personally are playing chess, or you are playing chess with other people who are also on the forum right now?

Well, I recently finished my first semester of college (music major), which was certainly a new experience considering that I (like most people on memverse, it seems) have been homeschooled my entire life.

Sam - can you tell me more about this story thing? What are the requirements…I'm to lazy to look through all those pages!

No, not at the same time. I'm working on Spanish, and next year I'll probably start on Portuguese. I'm also interested in Italian and French.

Did you find the music?
So since you're to lazy to do that you're going to make him have to do extra work?

Neat! I've started playing the piano on Sunday, and I've really enjoyed it! I've also started learning the autoharp, which has been neat.

greghowlett.com has a lot of free quality resources on how to arrange hymns and such, it's kind of hard to find articles but there is a wealth of information from a very good pianist.

Not really. It's still one of those "I'll get to it someday" things that I want to do. I'm hoping to take some Greek classes at SBU, but it won't be for another year or two.

That's a more traditional type of service. A simple way to describe it would be that you do one song, and then there's a prayer or something, and then another song, and a scripture reading, then the sermon, etc. instead of having a bunch of songs in the beginning and then none until the end.

Random fact; I just met a young lady named Ellia that's visiting my church last week. It's the only other Ellia I know.:)

I guess it is a mix. We normally have about 4 songs at the beginning, but sometimes we'll do another at the end. Though, I would consider our church less contemporary and more toward the traditional…in a sense…though we do have a time to have testimonies shared and such.

So, more traditional but not liturgical. :) I was asking because how I started playing for church was doing prelude and offertory, and was wondering if you are doing the same. Does your church have multiple instruments, or just a piano?

No, we meet in our home, so there isn't really a need for a prelude and offertory and such. We have piano and violin, though when I get better at the autoharp, we will start using that too.
