Yeah. People are being very unconversational today.
Seth W.
You personally are playing chess, or you are playing chess with other people who are also on the forum right now?
His Servant
Do you place classical at all? I've been trying to arrange some hymns, but I'm not very good at it.
Barachel the Buzzite of the Kindred of Ram
We are playing chess online with someone we don't know
biblebee
What poems?
His Servant
I'm NOT!
biblebee
I've always heard that it is. But whatever.
Bethany: Did you find the music?
Ian R.2
I have to go now. Bye guys!
Seth W.
Well, I recently finished my first semester of college (music major), which was certainly a new experience considering that I (like most people on memverse, it seems) have been homeschooled my entire life.
biblebee
I'm NOT!
I never said you were… ;-)
His Servant
"The Day of Doom", "The Ride of Paul Revere", "1st Base" and the Mayflower Compact.
Ian R.2
That should be a comma before "but" and not a period. :P
biblebee
Bye Ian! Ttyl!
Seth W.
Multiple languages at one time? Wow, that's ambitious.
biblebee
Okay, okay :-)
His Servant
Sam - can you tell me more about this story thing? What are the requirements…I'm to lazy to look through all those pages!
Seth W.
Some classical, but since I play for church than most of the time I work on hymns.
biblebee
Okay. And don't forget to memorize Who's on First.
His Servant
No, not at the same time. I'm working on Spanish, and next year I'll probably start on Portuguese. I'm also interested in Italian and French.
His Servant
That's what I meant….I called it 1st base, because I couldn't remember what it was called : |
biblebee
Did you find the music?
So since you're to lazy to do that you're going to make him have to do extra work?
His Servant
Neat! I've started playing the piano on Sunday, and I've really enjoyed it! I've also started learning the autoharp, which has been neat.
biblebee
Ohhh…okay. Sorry.

It's an RP based 30 years after TSTNE. If you want the backstory, here:

You might be confused, we have multiple personality disorder, thereofore the 'us' and 'we'
His Servant
Yes, Carissa…I really like number 7!
No, because it's in his mind, it shouldn't be any trouble.
Seth W.
greghowlett.com has a lot of free quality resources on how to arrange hymns and such, it's kind of hard to find articles but there is a wealth of information from a very good pianist.
Jackson
Good bye
Seth W.
Great! Does your church have a more liturgical or contemporary service?
His Servant
Thanks! I'll have to check it out! Are you still learning Greek?
Seth W.
Bye Jackson.
His Servant
I'm sorry, but I don't know what "liturgical" means : |
Barachel the Buzzite of the Kindred of Ram
It's really scary….
Seth W.
Not really. It's still one of those "I'll get to it someday" things that I want to do. I'm hoping to take some Greek classes at SBU, but it won't be for another year or two.
biblebee
That's the one I'm listening to as well :-) Are you downstairs right now?
Whatever.
His Servant
No, I'm in my bedroom.
biblebee
I thought you were downstairs…where is Ellia then?
Seth W.
That's a more traditional type of service. A simple way to describe it would be that you do one song, and then there's a prayer or something, and then another song, and a scripture reading, then the sermon, etc. instead of having a bunch of songs in the beginning and then none until the end.
His Servant
Seth - are you still there?
Carissa - Ellia is in my bedroom too.
biblebee
Ohhhh…okay.
Seth W.
Random fact; I just met a young lady named Ellia that's visiting my church last week. It's the only other Ellia I know.:)
His Servant
I guess it is a mix. We normally have about 4 songs at the beginning, but sometimes we'll do another at the end. Though, I would consider our church less contemporary and more toward the traditional…in a sense…though we do have a time to have testimonies shared and such.
Seth W.
Yep, still here. :)
biblebee
Haha! Neat! I don't know any other Ellia's besides my sister :)
His Servant
Neat :) We really like that name :) BTW, how old is your sister now?
Seth W.
So, more traditional but not liturgical. :) I was asking because how I started playing for church was doing prelude and offertory, and was wondering if you are doing the same. Does your church have multiple instruments, or just a piano?
Seth W.
I didn't either. :)
Seth W.
She's 2, and will be 3 in March.
His Servant
No, we meet in our home, so there isn't really a need for a prelude and offertory and such. We have piano and violin, though when I get better at the autoharp, we will start using that too.
Seth W.
Is Faith your youngest sibling?
