It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late. That's all I could think of.Greetings and salutations, Nicolas. Wow this is slow trying to figure out what to write; whatever I say you could twist somehow. I am too tired to be especially argumentative tonight. Shouldn't you be in your bed, sleeping?I would not stoop so low as to twist any of your words unnecessarily. ;) Perhaps I should be in my bed, sleeping; but instead, I am doing something that I consider more profitable. ;)
Could I not say the same of you, good sir?
Margaret Eddy
How long has your Dad been pastoring there? And what is the name of your Church? But of course.Any given Sunday? Probably 150 or something like that. Some of them are quite talkative, though.Okay. Because of how our church is set up it is either 25 people or 125 people. On a mormal basis though it is 25. They all talk a lot too. And not just on Sunday. They call throughout the week and they want to get together with Dad and stuff like that.
My Dad has been Senior Pastor since I was 1998, I think, and he was Assistant and Associate Pastor a few years before that. Our church's name is Manchester Community Church, and Dad had attended there since he was 8 (Mom, since she was born).

"SBG"... there is a name that I have not heard in a long, long time. Brings a sense of... nostalgia, I think.Wow! It's not that Dad talks to a lot of people...he just is sometimes *ahem* forgetful. My Dad is an INTJ, so he forgets the same sorts of things that SBG does.
I didn't want to spell your name wrong.

7:52 here. But it took me a long time, and my mom's help to think of that passage, so you are probably right. I went skiing.

Understandable. Perhaps I should remind you again, so that perhaps next time it will be easier for you to recall. N-I-C-O-L-A-S. And please remember: there is no H.

Wow! That's neat! My Dad has pastored for many years (not exactly sure how many but I am thinking since 1993 or so…off and on). But he has moved a bunch of times. He's been pastoring here at this church for six years…which is the longest he has been pastoring at one Church.

That must have been exciting; though in spite of that, I don't think I'll ever venture to do it myself. Too many stories of broken bones, and even deaths. However, I will leave the decision of when you get to bed up to yourself. I would advise that you do so before you get delirious, though. ;)

I remembered that there was no "h", and apparently I guessed right, but once I started analyzing it every way I spelled it looked wrong.

So does he tell stories about unnamed people from his other churches? Because one thing Dad has always joked about regretting is that he couldn't ever use illustrations from "at his last church…"
How old is your Dad? Mine is 43, if I am remembering correctly.

I have not moved as much as my parents. I've been in three states. But, we have moved multiple times in each state. The transitions were not hard for me…probably because I liked going to new places. It probably would be harder now.

I don't like going to new places, and since I have always lived within a couple of miles of the church, and gone to the same church, known the same people, etc., I have a hard time imagining what it would be like moving to a different place.

I can sympathize, to an extent. Although we have moved houses once and churches twice, we have always stayed within the same general area of the same state. It would be an enormous change to move to another state, away from friends and family.

Yeah. That's understandable. I think if we were to move now it would be difficult for me. But depending on where we would then live determines how difficult. I know this place but it's not like I'm really attached to it…for different reasons.
