Ah, I see. :D You guys have a way of transferring your family jokes onto the Internet, don't you? :PWill you people pleeeeease inform me as to what this "inside joke" is so that I am not hopelessly confused? :PFiiiine. Bethany says 'HUH?' all the time (in a certain way that you'd have to see to understand) and it drives me crazy. It's almost as bad as the dress shirt noise. So she does it to annoy me...like her word. :P
Yeahhh…sorryyy…

Carissa. Listen. I don't do it to annoy you, I do it because it's a habit. Okay? There's a difference.

You know what's also a movie quote? "What is this place?" As well as, "Where am I?" Or how about, "What have you done?"
But those are all quite widespread, so it's fairly pointless to point them out as movie quotes when they are used. Thus, I actually agree with Nicolas in this case.

This comment seriously made me laugh. xD Because I can SO see you saying that in real life. And I can picture the voice and everything you would have used!

Ah, I was unaware of this. It explains the widespread apparent misunderstanding. However, it frustrates me, because it really is very frustrating to me when I see people do it the English way.... I suppose it makes more sense, but it just looks so... wrong..Actually, that is an English/American discrepancy. In England they would put the period outside the quotation marks, unless, of course, there was a whole sentence inside the quotations, like parentheses. In America they put the period inside quotations no matter what. I tend to agree with the English, when it comes to which makes more sense.Thank you for correcting me. Obviously I have been misled in that area.... I shall remember that! Thanks! :)I think you meant to say "citizens".I think you meant to put the period inside the quotation mark. (Sorry, but that it such an *extreme* pet peeve of mine... and you do seem to care about grammar, soo....)
To me, having the period inside the quotations looks "wrong", if I am not quoting a sentence. I like the English way, personally, since they did come first, and it makes more sense to myself, also, I am over half English, so I am partial.

It's not that I don't understand! It's just that it is a movie quote…used in a specific instance in the certain movie! That fits it so well! :P

Lol, maybe because Nicolas (and Carissa at times, though not as strongly) cares about grammar, Carissa likes movie quotes, and… well… Bethany sometimes says unclear things. XD
