You already answered your own question! We have come to exactly that - nothing.

leans on desk sadly mournful voice, with dramatically sad music playing the background, fights to hold back tears "Memverse! Why?!" :( "Where has everyone gone?" continues very sad monologue, with echoes

Ah yeah. I actually seem to know a good number of people who are keen on it. I've been told "AAAAA YOU'RE SO LUCKY TO LIVE THERE, HAVR YOU BEEN TO ANY CONCERTS OR MET ANY IDOLS?????" and I have to admit no to either.

Haha. I understand how that is. I did a cultural study on Korea and the entertainment was one of the most focal points. And I became interested in the language. So now I'm studying Korean for fun.

Oh definitely, the writing system is far easier than either of those because it's a single phonetic alphabet, so you can learn the whole thing in an afternoon. That is a huge advantage. (But yeah, the grammar…….I mean, anything besides a single subject-object-verb sentence in basic polite form can get gnarly. I've been studying it off-and-on for three years and still am not bold enough to try to talk to anybody…..though apparently the grammar system is similar to Japanese? I never learned Japanese so I don't know firsthand.)

I see. I have not made it past single subject-object-verb sentences. I have several friends who live in Japan and they agree that they are similar languages.

Haha, I haven't made it much farther either. Adverbs are the hardest for me because dang.
I know right! The languages sound so similar so it takes a moment to figure out which you're hearing.

(Honestly I'm kind of excited that someone else on Memverse is also studying Korean…..)

I still have a while before I reach adverbs.

My parents thought it was odd when I decided to study Korean. But I have a foundational knowledge of Spanish and French and I was never interested in learning Chinese or Japanese. So I decided to go with Korean and then I fell into the K-pop hole. xD

Ah yeah, makes sense.

Haha, oh wow! I'd studied a little bit of Greek and Latin before, and I'm also studying Russian now, but Korean kind of surprised me because it's so different in style from the Western languages.
LOL Kpop is apparently an easy hole to fall into. My brother likes it a lot too.

I've heard that Russian is a fun language to speak.

It is easy to fall in and hard to get out of. xD xP Music, by far, is the best language.

Oh it is so much fun to speak; the different sounds you get to implement are amazing. I'm still just beginning to learn the basic vocabulary and grammar, though.

Music is an amazing language, absolutely agreed, and it's more or less a universal language too. Music and art…
