How can weather be large? Can weather grow and shrink? And how are you defining "weather"? Most define weather as the state of the atmosphere at a place and time as regards heat, dryness, sunshine, wind, rain, etc. Can the state of the atmosphere change its size, and if so, how?

Concentration of water vapor in any part of the atmosphere can very at different times, Ian. Concentration…size…so, more water in the air, larger concentration, large weather. :P

I don't exactly "study" meteorology, I just have a lot of facts in my head from years past. I do learn more as the years go on though. :)

You forgot the presence of infrared rays brought by the sun, Ian. :P If I was including all those, I'd have been more specific. You should've asked for a precise definition, especially for one who loves meteorology so much. :P

You do realize I stopped at UV rays to make the question a little more concise, right? I figured four different aspects of the weather would be enough. :) Also, should I have mentioned sea temperatures, how fast the earth is spinning, and the way mountains can make deserts? :P

Yeah. I actually got into the weather after watching the morning news. I always thought it would be cool to be on the TV as the weatherman. That got me interested in weather and natural disasters. :P

Trying to impress me while avoiding the point? I said you should've asked me specifically what I was referring to. If meteorologists didn't know exactly where natural disasters happen, they'd say things like "Um, and the hurricane will hit somewhere around the West Coast. I'd be moving if I were you guys…some of you, at least…I think…". XD

Sorry, I didn't completely understand the question. Now I think I do. Anyway, you gave me an answer, and I replied back. Although your answer covered a good deal of meteorology, it left out some important stuff. :P Also, it didn't really explain how weather can be large when concentration can be "high", but that doesn't necessarily mean it is "large". :)

Oh, okay. I hardly ever see the sun rise anymore, either because of getting up too early (and being in school while it's rising) or too late. :P But since I don't really have anything to get up early for this week (except on Wednesday and maybe Thursday), I was looking forward to it. :P
