Piece of Peace

3rd post

First day of March and it is going to storm. It's almost spring again.

I went to bed at 11:30 my time so I couldn't lawfully open this. xP

I thought we were talking about the supposed cuteness of cats, not about beholders who have beautiful eyes? xP

So then cats aren't really beautiful, rather, it's the beholder's eyes that are beautiful, based on what you're saying. xP

No. It depends on who is looking at them. It doesn't matter how beautiful the eyes are. It depends on the heart of the people looking at them. If you have a kind heart the cats will be beautiful. Partly JK.

So March 1, aside from being Aragorn's birthday, was also Independence Day here in South Korea.
Sorry, I told myself I wasn't going to mention anything about that, but then Katie brought up Texan Independence Day, and I figured, you know, why not…
Okay, I'll shut up now. X-P

2 Corinthians 5:17

Hello, land of Memverse! It is March the 6th, in the year 2017, and today is a Monday. Twas a very nice Monday for me at least…I got to eat at Chickfila, have ice cream, and find a new song that I liked. The Psalms and John's Gospel, which I have been reading through in my quiet time, have been most rich and edifying! On a side note, have you ever wondered what it's like inside a thundercloud? Wow. Must be electrifying. Oh, and by the way, never ever eat crackers right before you go to brush your teeth. Noooot a good idea. Annd…let's see…I'm super thankful for tissues! Thank you for reading this random, random ramble, that I posted just for the sake of putting another comment on here. =P bows

We haven't had snow here in a couple of weeks. I'm kind of surprised by the weather here. The place we lived before in the Midwest was more likely to have snow in November or February than in December or January, but here it's the opposite.

It's still snowing at our place! Yelena isn't very happy about it but I don't really care I just count them as white blessings. XD

It's raining tonight and has been for a few days, but I like it. xD It's been nice and cool and I'm praying it will stay that way and not turn summer for a little while yet.

Today we teenagers went to the the Capital (Austin; we left at 6 this morning and got back at 7 tonight) for a Capital day hosted by THSC (Texas Home School Coalition). We learned about the legislature process etc., and were trained, and got to do some actual lobbying about a bill that's just been filed! I was a little nervous at first when I found out we were going to be doing, like, the real thing, and talking to real legislature people about a real bill, but it turned out to be really fun! They were all really nice and friendly and thanked us for stopping by and for the info. We mostly talked to staff, but we did talk to 1 actual representative, and he was very enthusiastic about it, and even said when we were leaving, "Anything for the homeschoolers," or something similar to that. x) It was really fun to see the Capital building too (though we had quite a bit of trouble finding our way around, since Mama wasn't feeling well today and didn't come with us), and to learn about how a bill becomes a law. I hope we can go again sometime. =)

Hope that wasn't boring, since many of y'all don't live in Texas it might have been…but anyways, I'll stop talking now. xP

I enjoy going to our capital (Montgomery) too. I think people there really like homeschoolers and it was great because one of the men who is still there was there when Alex and Brett Harris were being interned there. And there was a tour guide who marched from Selma to the capital in the famous Selma March.

We ALMOST went to that Briana!! Several people from our homeschool co-op were there- but it just didn't work out for us to go. Hopefully next year! :)

xD You'd like it. But they only do it every other year. But there is another Capital day scheduled on April 3rd, I believe. Some people we know are going to go to that one, and we might have gone with them, but Monday is our co-op day, and Courtney's teaching a class so she doesn't want to miss it. x)

Wow that sounds like a long way away. xD

I can't remember…have y'all gone to the Film Festival before, Katie?

Yes, Brianna. I've volunteered at the Film Festival the last couple years. Will your family be there this year? I'm planning to volunteer on Friday and Saturday. I hope I see y'all! :)
