Attack on Titan is an awesome anime set in a fantasy alternate timeline, where giants, known as Titans, have pretty much destroyed most of the human race. The remaining humans take refuge in a massive city, of 3 central walls, with many sub-walls within, to protect them from the Titans. The series follows Eren Jaeger, as he and two of his friends join the Survey Corps, one of the branches of the military tasked with scouting outside the walls. It's pretty intense at times, but it has a great story. :)
