What about the whole "I-wear-a-mask-to-protect-those-close-to-me" thing? Seriously. That goes against years of comics in the one move alone, and not just Spidey comics. Pretty much every comic where the writer has had to slave to come up with a clever way for the hero to maintain his secret identity, was slapped in the face by that scene.
