Songs we have written :)
Started by Dani(elle)Cryptologist
Here is a song I wrote back in July, if any of you care to have a listen:
Yes, I'm singing the verses (somehow I didn't end up with the "Singing Genes") and I'm playing the piano track. My older sister sang the chorus, which she learned the day we recorded it, so you might hear that it is "off" in a few places. But it works for now. ;)
Lord willing, tomorrow I will be doing a video recording of another song I wrote, so I'll post the link here when I get it online. :)

Very pretty. :) I like the words.

Hey Bethany! I really like your poem that was in last week's BB Email Encourager! Thanks for the encouragement! :DExactly what he said^^^^ you did a great job!!!
Thanks guys! They don't send the encouragers to us because we're not going to Nats, but I can see it on the control panel. I'll have to go check it out. :)

Right on schedule!
Eden and I recorded the song I wrote and this time I did a video recording. I wrote this one off of 1 Corinthians 15:55.
And you are the first people I have released this to. ;) Enjoy!

It was GREAT! I loved it!!!! (I was laughing really hard well I watched it because…. may I tell you? it has nothing to do with the song…) :D
Edit: My grandma loved it too!
Cryptologist
Thanks! Sure, tell me! I'm not going to be offended at all. ;) I'm glad she liked it too!

Your sister could pass as my cousin's twin! They look a lot alike!
Also I was wondering about the Star of David? do you observe jewish holidays too? :)
Cryptologist
Really? That's funny! Now… why would she pass as your cousin's twin, but not your cousin's twin's twin (which… would be your cousin :P )?
I made that flag. :) We observe some of the Jewish holidays (although not traditionally) because they do have tremendous Scriptural significance. Of course, salvation is not dependent on that, but you can learn so much richness through it (for example, Passover and how that coincides with the crucifixion of Christ). We try to spend time studying the big holidays, but because our family is so busy, we are never right on time. :P

It's the same with us. My favorite is Passover!

I've written a lot more poems recently. You can see them here: www.2timothypoetry.blogspot.com
Emmy
Here's a song I wrote two years ago:
Glorious Majesty
(c) Emmy S. 2012 (Inspired by the book of Isaiah)
Oh the angels fly,
Oh the angels fly
With four wings hide;
Your holy brilliance
Fills the sky.
I will fly on wings like eagles.
I will walk and not grow faint.
I will run the race, given grace, and enter heaven regal.
I will sleep and I will dream, of your glorious majesty,
Of your pure white train that fills the sanctuary!
We're in so much need,
We're in so much need
With lips unclean
But you have heard
Our desperate plea!
(Chorus)
Oh a burning coal,
Oh a burning coal
Will cleanse my soul
That I may live
forevermore!
(Chorus)
I will sleep and I will dream, of your glorious majesty,
Of your pure white train that fills the sanctuary!
Of your pure white train that fills the sanctuary!
God's Maiden of Virtue
I composed a piece in the fall of last year, and named it "Dominus Exaudivit Me" - Latin for "The Lord Has Heard Me". It is a very simple song (and about 3 minutes), not up to my level - then again, when have I ever composed something up to my level? - but I wrote it in honor of my sister and has a special story behind it.
^I wouldn't consider myself a "composer" in any sense of the word, though :P :P^

Aw, that's sweet! Mama has been trying to persuade one of us to write a song for Jubilee - I don't know if I'm up to the challenge, though. :(
God's Maiden of Virtue
I understand how that is; I know for me, personally, I can't just sit down at the piano planning on writing/composing something. It usually "clicks" when I'm just randomly playing around on the piano (not playing anything in particular).
Barachel the Buzzite of the Kindred of Ram
To the tune of the chorus of "City our Knees" by that weird weirdo. If you have not heard the song, and have not watched The Punisher, you will not understand.
"Oh tonight's the night!"
"For Howard and his saints!"
"The Punisher collides!"
"in a gory-ous fray"
"'cause its all blood tonight!"
"because they stepped across the line!"
More to come.

Okay, yeah, that makes sense. I actually was doing that today, and came up with something! :D Not very good, though. xP
God's Maiden of Virtue
I know how that is. :P I was doing it a little myself, but I never got anywhere with it. ;-)
Courtney M.
Yeah… :P
