Have you ever just blanked on a scripture that you know without a doubt you have memorized? I did that just today.
While I'm new to Memverse, I am not new to scripture memorization. I've taken up scripture memory challenges several times in my life. Most of them usually personal challenges. I usually make it to around the hundred verses memorized mark, and then something in life distracts me, and before I know it, several days have gone by.
I was just passing that hundred scripture mark, when I discovered Memverse a couple of weeks ago and I'm glad I did.
Back to my topic; While going through my verses here on the site, I came across 1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that ….. and I totally blanked.
I couldn't believe it. I've gone over that scripture, well actually those first four verses every day for the last couple of months, and I blanked. I resisted looking at the answer, and after several agonizing seconds that rest came to me… Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.
I must admit it was a very disturbing and frustrating moment.
I was wondering, if any of you have experienced anything like that with a scripture that you know you have memorized?
How did it make you feel?
What did you do to complete the verse?
I don't think I'll ever forget that particular phrase again, after this morning.
But then again, who knows?

Oh! Oh! Oh! That's happened to me! I knew that I knew the verse, and I knew what it said, but somehow…argh. I don't remember how I ended up remembering it, all I remember is feeling like an airhead because I'd forgotten a verse I'd had memorized for years!
But good point. Of course, now you'll never be able to forget it, even if you tried!
