I haven't been able to do Memverse in a couple weeks because I was out of town– no internet.

I log on, and I have almost 100 verses to review! That's overwhelming! Is there a way to make it so that I only have my normal dozen or so?

Thanks!

Hi, Melissa and everyone else, I just re-discovered a feature that the developers have done not long ago that you might be interested in trying out in case this happens again.
When you are sitting on the MAIN dashboard at the time you log in to Memverse, click on the "Memverse Today" tab. The bottom option is, "You have fallen behind on your reviews. You should consider resetting your review schedule." Then there is an icon entitled "Reset My Schedule". Click on it and it may spread out your large behind number of verses. I've never tried it so I'm not exactly sure what it will do. If anyone does, please share your experience here.

Thanks for your help and encouragement, AK. To answer a few questions, I was overwhelmed at doing that many verses, so I put it off for a week or so. But I decided yesterday to start in again. Yes, doing a big block of them will push the daily number down. Of course, it had been so long for some of them, that many were declared "memorized." Yesterday I had over 100 to review. Today it's 73. I did well over 50 yesterday though– leaving the tab open on my computer and working on it here and there throughout the day.

I may still choose to put some back to "pending" since some of the ones I was close to having memorized are going to need more work. (The ones I'd reclassify are those I just started learning.)

I found the MemVerse Today tab, but the only things that come up are how many verses and references I need to review today, the quest I need to reach the next level, and how much time it will take to do the daily review. Perhaps because I reviewed yesterday afternoon, it's no longer considering me, "behind"?!?

I will continue plugging away at it until I get caught up. Thanks for your encouragement. It's been very helpful.

Hi, Melissa, thanks for replying.
Interesting that the feature isn't showing for you. You might be right in that it needs to reach a certain level of being "behind" before that option comes up. I really don't know. It shows on my screen because I'm about 200+ verses behind, and they cover about 8+ months. But I'm only doing 1-5 verses a day, so I'm hovering up or down around that level. I anticipate doing a major catchup in the fall (about 10-20 verses per day) . . . so I'm not interested (yet) on clicking on that button option that appears for me. I don't think not doing a daily memorization session would cause it not to show. I do a memorization session every single day, at least one verse (I've only missed less than 20 days since joining in June 2014, and those days were went I had no internet or computer access). But it still shows. Hmmmm.
Keep plugging away at it. Let me know if I can be of any further help.

I too got way behind and had hundreds of verses to catch up on. I set a time/# limit for myself and work through that when I'm on, and it gradually is going down. I use Memverse as one learning/review tool, so was only on every third day or so anyway. Then when I started having EMF problems, I cut the use of internet pretty drastically so got way behind. With using it in moderation, I'm able to continue, just not as frequently.

Another great idea! Thanks, Patricia. Probably the most important thing is to keep moving forward, little by little. Doing that will often lead to great accomplishments before you know it! Keep it up!!!

What I eventually ended up doing was going through all the verses quickly. When the reference popped up, if I didn't instantly know how the verse started, I rated it a 2 without typing it all in. I'm sure all of them I was working on when we left on vacation were ones I was somewhat familiar with. If I knew how the verse started, then I'd type it out and rate it accordingly.

Yes, I may end up reviewing more of those "2" verses than I would have needed to, but I figure the added review won't hurt.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. It's been hard to get back into it. It seems like I've forgotten so much in such a short amount of time. May God be pleased to help me remember more quickly this time!

Thanks, Melissa, for sharing how you eventually addressed this matter. I'm sure it will be helpful for others. Keep memorizing the wonderful Word of God!!!

To anyone and everyone who has enjoyed a lovely vacation or time away, but when you've returned to Memverse, you have been greeted with a TON of 'overdue' verses to review.

Having now tested this feature out, this is what you can do:

When you first log in to Memverse, you are taken to the main Dashboard.
To the right of the Dashboard tab is another tab entitled, Memverse Today. Click on it.
A multi-line listing of activities for you to accomplish today will come up.

When the first line says something like:

You have 150 verses due for review today (including 130 overdue verses).

. . . there should ALSO be showing the following as the LAST 2 lines on that list:

You have fallen behind on your review sessions. You should consider resetting your review schedule.
RESET YOUR SCHEDULE

What you need to now do is click on the RESET YOUR SCHEDULE icon/button. It will take only your overdue verses and spread them out over the next number of days to even out your schedule. It is not supposed to alter the 'next' review date for any of your future review verses; only the overdue verses. I've tested it and had a couple of other people test it out. It appears to be working as I've just described.

I've also been assured by the developer who set this up for me several years ago, that it was done globally so it would be available for anyone on Memverse who has gotten behind with their memory work (for whatever reason).

Do let this chat forum know of your experience if/when you click on that RESET button.
