Welcome to the witnessing topic! Here we can share Bible verses, witnessing stories (and almost-witnessing stories, if you like), and anything else to encourage fellow Memversers passionate about sharing the gospel. :-)

I'll start by sharing one of my favorite witnessing verses:
"But I do not account my life of any value, nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."

2 Corinthians 5:17

I love handing out Ray Comfort's $1,000,000 tracts :D People love them, and I've only had one person turn me down. I usually say something like "Have you ever seen a million dollar bill?" or "Did you get one of these?" It raises curiosity and usually when I give it to them I get a response such as: "Cool, thanks!", "Wow, this is fake, right?", or something else along those lines. xD Sometimes I tell them to "Be sure to check out the million dollar question on the back!"
Several weeks ago I was at Sam's Club and handed one to the man who checked the receipts…he said "Ohh, yes, I've seen one of these before!" and proceeded to say something about how without the Gospel we're without hope. That was neat :)

When I was 11, I took a karate class for nine months. Over that period of time, I found that there were no other Christians who went there. The teacher had a tendency to make fun of things to get the kids involved. One time, he actually made fun of God! He said, "If there is a car coming and you need to get out of the way, will you pray to God, and will he help you?" He made a face and pretended to pray and begged God to help him and all the kids thought it was hilarious.

Well I wasn't watching my facial expression and he apparently noticed the horror in my face and he called on me. "It's not?" He asked. "Will God make you move so you don't get hit by the car? Would you just stand there and pray to him so you won't get hit? Would God do that for you? Would the angels swoop in to save you?" I told him that yes, you should move, but it's not right to make fun of God like that. The classroom roared with laughter and I wanted to disappear for good, but I knew I was doing the right thing. I was terrified, but several verses came into my head and I answered him. This went on for several minutes which the kids, and the parents watching, thought was the funniest thing they had ever seen. It was hard to have people laugh, but I'm glad I did it. Afterwards, the teacher took me aside and explained that he was just trying to make the kids laugh. He never made fun of religion again, although several people teased me for a long time. I was able to also share the gospel with several girls in the short few months I was there, so it was worth it. I can't watch the movie "God's not dead" without thinking of that incident though. ;)
I'm glad God gave me that opportunity, even though it was hard, although I probaly did the easier thing. If I hadn't said anything, I would still feel bad about and I'm glad God gave me the words to answer. It was an interesting experience!
