God's Maiden of Virtue

All this time, and I've never officially introduced myself to you all! Well, I suppose we'll just have to change that…
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Rosie, otherwise known as "God's Maiden of Virtue" on here and other online places. Or "Eutriv of Nediam" more recently (figure out why). Last edited: January 2016
I apologize in advance for my tendency to ramble… x)

First of all, and much more important for you to know about me… I am a servant of the Most High God - of my Master, Jesus Christ. An unworthy and eternally indebted servant, but one all the same – striving to lose myself every day that Christ might be everything, and to make His name and glory known wherever He places me.
“As long as I see anything to be done for God, life is worth having; but O how vain and unworthy it is to live for any lower end.”

That being said –
Last year, God did something big in our family - He brought 4 children who needed a permanent home into our lives. And by His grace and sovereign will, on August 9th, we brought these children into our home to be a part of our family. On October 20th, our parents became the legal guardians. We are now currently pursuing adoption! I am now the third oldest of 13 – sister to 12 crazy, yet lovable siblings, whom God is using every day to teach me patience, love, and selflessness. :)
Random fact: I existed in my mom's womb between two millennia - a very small percentage of people can say that! So you can figure out my age from there. Naw, I'll be 16 next month. ;)
I am technically finishing my sophomore year of high school, though I am also re-taking some freshman subjects, and ready for a couple of junior ones. Despite the confusion of all that, I enjoy it and love to learn.
"Education is that which remains when one has forgotten everything he learned in school."

Although we didn't participate in the Bible Bee this year, I have been so privileged to be a part of it for the past 5 years. The BB has been vitally instrumental to me in my relationship with God, cultivating a strong love and hunger for the Word through reading, studying, and memorizing it - which in turn, has developed my ability to memorize large portions of Scripture and study in-depth!
What do I love most about the Bible Bee? Truly, my favorite part is how…in immersing myself, sinking into the pages of the Word, I have fallen more and more in love with Jesus - precious and worthy - the Pearl of great price. In studying the Word, I have found that there is no greater thing on this earth than knowing Him. He is it. The treasure that we seek. He satisfies - something that nothing in this world has ever been able to do! And the more I see it, the more I understand it, and embrace it - the fuller my joy (Psalm 27:4-5). That, is why I so love the BB. Because it has helped me to get into the Word like I never had, and find this great, lovely, all-consuming joy! :)
"God isn't impressed with how much Scripture we know, but with how much Scripture we live."

Some of my biggest interests include ~
Music (playing + listening), quotes, books, a good conversation, people, memorizing/dramatizing, letter correspondence, soccer, hiking, hard work, physics + nuclear chemistry, math, and so on…and so forth.

As you may have picked up on, I love quotes. ;) Always looking for new ones to chew on.
Gracious, enough of this rambling nonsense! I really am looking forward to getting to know you all better.

LOL
Well, that's because I really don't like awkward silences, so I try really hard to keep conversations going. But, on a normal basis, I like to listen more than talk (usually because I can't think of anything to say…).

Danielle get a mirror. not that you need more encouragement to be vain, but I would be nice to see your dad's reflection more often. (seeing as he's gone all day working, and when you're on the computer you can behold your father!)

facepalm first of all I'm on my iPod sitting on a couch which is against a wall so he would litteral have to climb on the back of the couch to read over my shoulder.

Hey, this has all been great (really!) and I so wish I could stay, but Mom just got home, and she needs grocery helpers. So I must say goodbye for now…. :( Bye Dani and Noah!
