Hello!
My first name, as recorded on my birth certificate, is Caleb. And that's what people call me, too. Nicknames innumerable have been suggested, but none have caught on. I've also made many translations and transliterations of my name, but most have not gone public. I am 13, as of January 27, 2013.
My siblings who are on MemVerse are OCTSRIS, Mommy's Helper, and another who is inactive except to change his username. Perhaps you can figure out how I am related to Mommy's Helper's Mommy.
The friends I know best who are statistically active on MemVerse are Karthmin, Sam, SavedByGrace, and God's Maiden of Virtue.
My siblings know me as a comedian, but also as very studious in several ways. My friends only tend to see the latter part, if they actually notice me in the corner listening to their conversation. I wonder if they realize how privileged they are to know (if that's possible) the world's biggest introvert. Perhaps I should ask them, but who ever heard of me actually starting a conversation?
I don't deplore the forums as much as the forum users. Oh, but that includes me. Alright, just ignore that sentence. It's somewhat misleading, anyway.
My main interests are linguistics, phonology, and history. One moment, please; I need to make sure music's not on that list. Okay, it's not. I have a special curiosity for historical linguistics and constructed languages. Tengwestar nár alcarinquë! Krom Esperanto.
I enjoy reading, studying, memorizing, taking Bible quizzes, writing poetry and practicing a bit of glossopoeia. Sometimes I listen to classical music, too. I'm less active than I should be (physically, not mentally), but after all, one doesn't win Jeopardy by running and biking. Though I do enjoy those… Sigh.

Some miscellanea:
I really like MemVerse. (Especially the quizzes!) My account is older than many of the people who will be reading this, with some notable exceptions. I also have a newer account, SóloEnCristo.
I do Bible Bee, and very much enjoy it. I made it to Nationals this year. My rank after locals was 15… after nationals, it was 87. Oh well.
I run the website Bible Bookworm. Here is a link: http://biblebookworm.weebly.com . I have several poems on it, and three Bible quizzes. (Easy - Medium - Hard)

So that's about as good an introduction I can make. Fare ye well…

Aw, that was no conversation! Perhaps I should just have saluted and handed you a note.
About me talking to lots of people - I suppose I did - but mostly they talked to me. On the other hand, perhaps you noticed that I continually smile and often laugh when people talk to me?

I liked it! (But do you actually have to look up some words I use? Other than glossopoeia?) I think the part about me being a monkey… though relevant, seemed slightly out of place. But that doesn't matter. All in all, it was very fitting!

Yeah… it's sometimes hard to place things together so they run smoothly when your trying to describe someone you know on the internet in a few short sentences. I'm glad you liked it! :) Edit: It might have been better just to write an essay on each person… naw, that would have taken me a year or more! And then if I forgot someone…. I'd never graduate! lol!

I remember three different times we talked. The first time I asked you sign my book and I asked you what you thought about nationals…so we talked about that. Then we talked after the test and orals and you told me what you thought about that. And then at the film you came over to me and we talked then. And yes, you were talking and constantly smiling and laughing when you were talking with lots of other people.

@The Lady Elusive: That's funny, and I'm sure you would never graduate. By the way, keep the introvert part in my description because the debate has been elsewhere resolved… Carissa seeming to yield to Sam and I.

Oh, okay, that's it. I all ways use alright, unless I'm saying something is all correct. I think it is all together as proper as all right, all though I all so know people don't think all ike about it. I've all ready been "corrected" for it more than once, and maybe I should start using the IPA (of how I pronounce it): [ɑɫɹʌɪ̯t]. I hope that's ɑɫɹʌɪ̯t with everyone.
I won't hold it against you if you prefer "all right". :D

Would you like me to add that to your description? jk! Never mind. I don't want to be known as: "The Elusive Lady: she is always going around asking people if they want what they just said to be in their description!!!" lol!

To italicize put an underscore on each side of what you want to italicize. To bold, use an asterisk. (I wonder how to underline?)

@Everyone who sees this: If you look in Caleb's introduction, you will find that I am his Spanish account. I am posting this so that in time, I will get approved for the forums…

And today I figured out the difference between epiglottal and pharyngeal consonants! And that is something even more exciting!

What languages do you know, Caleb? Do you know Spanish, and if so do you have any sites or books that are free to learn more about the grammar make-up of Spanish? I'm learning the words pretty fast, but I have a lot of trouble with the make-up of the actual sentences. I know that you're really into grammar and such, so that's why I thought I'd ask :)

I know American English, a bit of Koine Greek, and I have little knowledge of a lot of other languages. But yes, besides English, Spanish is the language I speak best. Which is not itself very good.
So, about having trouble with making sentences, I really don't know what to tell you. Which is largely because I'm not precisely sure what you mean. If you mean and the use of words (for instance, estar for location and feeling; ser for identification), I would of course refer you to a dictionary.
If you mean grammatical formations (for instance, the third person plural of the verb ser is son ), then I would actually recommend Wikipedia's articles, like this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_verbs .
On the other hand, if, as I think most likely, you just have a hard time with sentence structure in general, I really don't know what to say. There are, of course, some free Spanish grammars on Google Play, but most (or all) of them would be outdated. Perhaps you should just ask your questions on the forums… I'm sure Nicolas (or someone else) would be happy to answer!

La similaridad de español e inglés es muy afortunada para nosotros. (¿O es "por nosotros"? No sé.) :D

Bad idea! I really don't know that much about Spanish, just enough to look impressive. :P

How could anyone possibly forget something as interesting as another language? (Just kidding - it is, of course, from disuse.) Have / Are any of your siblings learned / learning Spanish? You might be able to learn it again by speaking it with them.

Only Christian has had any sort of learning in Spanish, and though he took three years, he probably remembers as little as I do. :P
