Isabelle Ingalls

I realized I've been about Memverse for a while, and no one has any idea who I am, so, ta-da here is my official introduction!!

I am an 18 year old homeschooled senior who enjoys reading every good book I can find (Tolkien, Lewis, Bonhoeffer, Chuck Black, and Ballantyne (although I might not completely agree with all of their theology)); writing (I have one published article!); sewing; gardening; making movies (live and stop-action); having crazy discussions about physics, theology, and Marvel with my friends; singing and dancing around the house; and enjoying the wonderful life God has given me in the great state of Texas! I hope to every day become a more faithful follower of Christ and to spread His love to all those about me.

Notes (in no particular order);
1: I can jump from singing Veggie tales to discussing how God's omnipresence and being outside of time plays out. (ever thought about the fact that He is already with us in heaven?) (as a helpful example of the strange combination that is me, I considered writing my senior thesis on 'why superheroes are so popular' basically talking about how people inherently look for a savior figure because it echoes the Great Story, and while in the past we replaced The Saviour with demigods or great war heroes, now we have super-powered people or aliens)
2: I am can be rather strange
3: I quote movies quite a bit. Especially Mega-mind and Princess Bride
4: I have long red hair, as do both my siblings
5: I am occasionally sarcastic
6: I am really terrible with online communications, I tend to take several days (at least) to reply to anything.
(7: and apparently I like parenthesis today)

Good to see you on here, Isabelle! Where is your article published? I had one published in 2012 about the Bible Bee in our denomination's magazine… :D

On the Rebelution, "Do Hard Thing"'s website. I submitted it, going "there's no way they're even going to look at this," and then may or may not have squealed when they replied to my email. :) It's called "I'm Impatient (and you probably are too)" if you ever want to look it up sometime. Of course, I still read it, and think, ug, it's terrible, so don't have your expectations too high. :)

Princes Bride is absolutely amazing! I was at a two week worldview camp this summer, and the speaker was talking about marriage, so he got up, smiled, and said "Let's get this over with, because I know it's all what you're thinking. Say it with me: 'dweary bewoved, we gwatwer hwere today, two celebrwate mawage. Mawage, and Twuuuuuu wuve." We were laughing so hard! ;D

"Bible Bee Age" is the age you will be on November 13 according to this year's rule book on page 4.

returns from looking up _parameter_ in the dictionary I'm guessing you mean graduating from highschool (rather than Bible Bee)? Yes, the only rule is that you not be nineteen before Nov 13. I'm fairly certain that it has nothing to do with graduating from highschool (if it did, some of us would be in highschool for a loonnggg time ;)).

Yes. And then Joy could compete, too :)! You should email Bible Bee and suggest it :). I highly doubt that they would change the rules on that, but they always might.

A lot of people probably wouldn't end up competing since they've already made plans. But, at least I could still compete in 2019! :D
