Welcome to Memverse! :-)
What part of Texas are you from, west or east?
What verses are you trying to memorize at the moment?

Frisco Texas… I have roughly 50 verses that I am trying to memorize. Most of them I know pretty well but getting the "perfect" has proven difficult so at this point I have not "memorized" any according to this site. . I'm really not in any hurry to have the site recognize them as memorized and just enjoy the review everyday. I do about 20-25 minutes a day. What about you? What part of Texas (assuming you're in Texas) and which verses?

Welcome to Memverse! I've been to Texas! only once. For Bible Bee in 2015. :p It was pretty cool. :)

I'm not in Texas, but I have relatives there. I'm in northwest Arkansas. :-)
Oh, I bounce around with my verses a lot. I think I'm going to add some more verses from Genesis next. I try to add some new ones every week. :-)

Do you use KJV?

Is it getting hot where you live yet?

What Epistles are you working on?

Oh a bunch of Epistles….Romans, James, Hebrews, Philippians, etc. My fav translation is NASB. My pastor uses it and so do most of my bible study friends. But I do reference several different versions from time to time. Are you using KJV? We have had a real mild spring so far but today it got up to 80 and so I think the heat is on its way. I went to U of A Fayetteville. Class of 93. I really like NW Arkansas and usually get up there at least once a year. Still have friends in Fayetteville. I heard they were closing the Passion Play in Eureka Springs… do you know if they have shut that down yet? If not I'm going to make it a point to get there soon.

Welcome to Memverse Jeffrey. Glad you are enjoying reviewing verses here. I have two sisters who live in TX in the Austin area and enjoy it. Also, another Scripture resource, Scripture Memory Fellowship recently moved to Dallas TX. Don't know if you are close to either of those?

Yes, I use KJV; my family does, too. I used to use NIV, until I found out what they'd done to it.
Mama looked up on the computer about Passion Play, and from what she found out, four years ago they were going to shut it down, but we assume someone else must've bought it, because it still has a schedule for this year. I'd never heard of it before, until I asked my parents what it was. :-)
It's supposed to get up to 90 degrees here sometime this week, and we're getting hay tomorrow. Our spring has been a nice, long, cool one, too, thankfully. It may be about over, though. I hope it continues to rain every once in a while. Lack of rain can be a problem here in the summer.

Were you raised in NW AR, or did you go to college here from another state? I think that this area is really pretty, but from what I understand, our 'mountains' as they call them aren't really mountains, but glorified hills. :-)

What time of year do you like the most here? Summer is usually oppressive; in my opinion fall and spring are the best times to come here from somewhere else. Have you ever ridden the excursion train from Van Buren to Winslow or Springdale? It's really pretty in the fall. :-)
