My name is Jessica. I am 11 years old, home schooled, and the oldest of 3 kids. This is my third year in the Bible Bee, and my first year as a junior. I went to Nationals last year and it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!! (Some of you might have been there!)
My hobbies are baking, story and poetry writing, acting, and READING! I love to read all kinds of books, especially historical fiction. I also like to listen to music. My favorite artists are Barlow Girls, and Francesca Battistelli.

Welcome to memverse, Jess! I was also at Nationals last year…I loved it! I love Reading also….Have you read the G.A.Henty books? They are historical fiction also :) They are probably one of my favorite series :)

I haven't read them… yet. But I'll probably read them sometime. I'm always looking for a new series! Some of my favorite historical fiction books are Johnny Tremain and Toliver's Secret. I also like the Elsie Dinsmore series and the Chronicles of Narnia. Looking forward to seeing you at Local Contest Day! :)

Johnny Tremain and the Narnia books are good. My mom used to get my sis to listen to Elsie Dinsmore in the car, and she is WAY too perfect!

No she isn't!!!! I love the Elsie books!!!! :)

Never read them so I really can't say. :) read Jonny Trumain twice. It was pretty good. :) I was soo sad that his best friend def the best character dies at the end. :'(

I would have to say that though I enjoy the Elsie books,I would also have to say she is a little too perfect. But I really enjoy them e

It would be best to check for it at your library first but if you don't have it there see if you can borrow it from someone you know. If you have a e-book reader you can download it for free from amazon.

My little brother received a set of alphabet blocks in Russian. It was challenging trying to figure out what letters were which by the pictures!

I couldn't stand it! :( If it ended I'd go start my own! Well, that might be kinda hard. Maybe I'd go memorize the Bible instead! Jk kind of

ALL MEMVERSERS! IF THE BB DIES WE SHOULD MAKE OUR OWN!!!!!!!!! JK :P! I am sitting here reading a book and talking about BB and every so often I get up thinking I have to go study BB!!!! I am SO messed up :P!

Now you can relax! :) At least for 4 days. I think I might go ahead and try to memorize all of the junior verses by nationals even if I don't get in . It would be good prep if I make it any of the other years.

I'll memorize whether or not I get in, but I'm not sure if I'll do the Bible study or not. I NEED FORMATS FOR THIS SORT OF THING!!!!!!!! Jk :)

Well…last year they put the verses online so you don't have to make it to get the materials :)!

Last year we printed out the verses on colored card stock, and it worked pretty well.

If I make Nats I might do that :)!!!! What else helped you last year for Nats?
