Well, the first thing you might notice about me is my particularly creative name…
Anyway, I didn't know memverse had forums until this morning so that's why I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm a 16 year old boy from one of the most liberal states in the US :( I participated in the Bible Bee for the first time this year, and I will be at nationals in November, Lord willing. Anyway, glad to be here and I hope to get to know you all! btw, I'm also homeschooled.

Most of the kids my age are growing up and moving on from Memverse now… but you will see us around once in awhile. My name is Sarah, and I am 19. I was homeschooled too, and I didn't the Bible Bee for four years! Miss those days!

The studying is goin' really well! I'm really just doing it for experience this year. And yes, I'm loving the Bible Bee so far! How are you doin' on your studying?

That's great! Have you learned a lot? I sure have. One thing that I really enjoyed learning more about was how Jesus is entirely in control, how He was always following His Father's timing. Studying is going okay. =) Looking forward to Nationals next month!!

I've definitely learned a lot! One of the most convicting things I learned was a point I read about John 6:70-7:9. It says, "Proximity to Jesus, whether as a disciple or family member, does not mean you have a relationship with him."

Yeah, wow…that's so true… Seeing how Jesus treats Judas too, He chose Judas, He washed Judas' feet too, knowing exactly how Judas would treat Him…makes me think about how I treat people in my life.

Definitely some powerful and life-changing things we've learned…

Have you ever studied the Bible before, the same way BB does?

Yeah, but I found the structure, consistency, and rigour of the Bible Bee challenging. What I usually like to do is find a passage, study it out, and see what God wants to tell me, usually in less than a week. Studying the same passage for this long has been a little harder on me (I kind of got on so many rabbit trails, I feel really unprepared for nats).
