Roxburry Youth Camp group connection

Thanks to all of you from Roxburry Youth Camp who joined us in the past year! Let's memorize God's word, and see how many verses we will hide in our hearts together before we meet again at camp! We'd like to meet all of you here and get to know you better. I have no clue who some of you are (sorry). So, please introduce yourselves. Tell us how old you are, how many years you've been going to the RYC, and if you are planning to come this year.

I'm Anna, also known as Anya. I'm fifteen, and a sophomore at 21st Century Cyber School. I've been going to RYC for forever :D Other then that, I love to memorize God's word, because its really neat when you memorize a verse, and then a situation comes up in life and you remember that verse or chapter, and it lifts you up. Plus, memorizing is good for the brain :)

Hi to all, my name is Olga and I am a mom to almost half who are in our group. I am so glad that I got introduced to Memverse over a year ago now. Memorizing scripture was always my passion, but my mental abilities are not as good now as they were 20 or 30 years ago. Memverse helps me to hammer down the Bible verses I really need.
Alright, so now about camp (RYC): I think first time we went to RYC for all 4 days was when Anya was about 5 or 6 —- so it seems like forever ago!
I have an idea - how about telling some of your friends in church, or your family (mom or dad, brothers, sisters and cousins) how awesome it is to learn Gods Word. Tell them there's a tool that makes things easier and more fun. Then show them how it works. You can even add them to your group or church.
How does that sound Bethany? Do you think any of your siblings will want to join? Even Jared can try - he is a big boy now!
What about you, Austin and Avery - do you have someone in the youth group or your family that might like to learn the Bible? It's worth asking around, or printing a poster from this site to hang in your church.
Don't you think that 90 people for Pennsylvania is NOT enough? I think so. Let's tell others about this web site!!!

Hello everyone :) I'm Daniella, I'm 14 years young, and I've been going to RYC for at least 10 years. I really love it, but I'm not sure if I'll be attending this year (we have a children's church camp the week before, and I'd like to volunteer to help out). I've been doing Memverse for over a year now, and it's really helped out in my life. I'm also Anya's and Neena's sister, and Momof7 is my Mom. She wasn't joking when she said that she's related to half the group!

Hi. My name is Andry. l'm 8 years old (young). I have been on Memverse for 1 year and in camp from when I was a little kid. I have 11 verses Memorized. I like camp really much. I love soccer too. I like Memverse a lot. It helps me learn about God and it is really good for me. Genesis is my favorite book of the Bible. I like to do Math and Language. My hobby is building with legos. I can build a lot of stuff out of legos. (0,0)

Hello Everyone, I'm Avery

I'm a junior in highschool, I 16 and am greatly involved with music and musical performance. I was introduced to memverse by the Shcherbakovs at RYC, and I think it is a great way to learn the scriptures. I have been trying since last summer to learn the hymn that starts out the book of John which is my favorite book of the Bible.

We have gone to RYC several times as the Child Evangelists, we have always enjoyed our time there and cherish the friendships that we have made. We hope to be able to make it this year.

Hi, I am Phillip Shcherbakov, and I am 12 7/12 years old (young). I am also a son of momof7, and I have been going to RYC every year I can remember. I have a couple of hobbies, like screwing apart stuff and looking how it works, taking motors and lights and frames and building things, and playing with K'nex. I really want to go to RYC next summer, but I have trouble with choosing whether to be in the kids camp, or the teens. The problem is that I have a bunch of friends in the kids camp, but that camp is getting too kiddish for me. I really like what the teens camp does, according to my older sisters, but I probably don't know anyone there.

I can't believe I have more then 250 verses memorized! This was a major goal for a long time :) Anyway, now I'm aiming for around 400-500… I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up with that many verses, but I definitly hope so!

I used to play with legos, too! My nephew Josh loves playing with them now, and he's nine. How old are you?
My nephew and I like to play knex every now and then. I like building some of the machines that work! I remember that my dad and I built a big ferris wheel a long time ago that was almost as big as I was!
Do you have any pets? If so, what kind of pets do you have? I have a big dog named Tater, four cats, four zebra finches, some chickens, six goats, two geese, and two Siamese fighting fish who think that they're paranahs. :-) Oh, and a grouchy rabbit. And two guineas that are new. I've never had guineas before, and they sure are silly looking. Their heads are bald, and the skin on their head is blue with a few scrawny feathers that look like hairs. Their little wattles look like mastachios!
Are there flowers blooming where you are? We have irises and roses blooming here.
I've got to go now so that Mom can braid my hair. Bye!
