Memorizing the Bible in the Philippines / Pagkakabisa ng Biblia sa Pilipinas

Hi. My name is Phil Walker. I was born and now live in Indonesia. However, I love the Philippines very much. I went to high school there (Faith Academy 82-85). Four years ago, I got married to Jacky, a Filipina in the Philippines. We have 2 children.

Hi! Ang pangalan ko ay Phil Walker. Ipinanganak at nakatira ako sa Indonesia. Ganunpaman, mahal ko ang Pilipinas ng lubos. Nag-aral ako sa dyan (Faith Academy 82-85). Apat taon ang lumipas, ikinasal ako kay Jacky, isang pinay sa Pilipinas. Meron kaming 2 anak.

I also love the Bible. My life calling is to help people know and treasure God's Word. Our main outreach in the Philippines is with Pastor Eli and Alma Juat at Fountain of Life Community Church. However, we would like to branch out and help and visit anyone in the Philippines who wants to learn God's Word.

Mahal ko rin ang Biblia. Ang panghabang buhay na tawag ko mula sa Panginoon ay tulungan ang mga tao na malaman at pahalagahan ang Salita ng Panginoon. Ang aming pangunahing outreach sa Pilipinas ay kina Pastor Eli at Alma Juat sa Fountain of Life Community Church. Gayunpaman, kami ay may layunin na lumaki at tumulong at bumisita sa Pilipinas sa sinumang nagnanais na malaman ang Salita ng Diyos.

Thanks Carissa, we enjoyed being a part through Skype. Hopefully someday we can join in person. Will you guys have it again next year? Now our group will work on getting ready for JOHN chapters to be recorded for the OHIO Scriptorium in June.

Hi everyone! Im Alma M. Juat a pastor's wife and my husbnd is Ptr. Eliezer C. Juat from Valenzuela, Philippines.
We are also memorizing verses. We are encouraged by my brother in law Phil Walker and his wife Jacquelyn M. Walker. And now even our church are memoring verses and praying to keep it for life. We are also using memverse as a tool to keep our verses organized, monitored, and reviewed.
We have every fourth sunday of the month activity that we called Scripture Memory Fellowship. Wherein we have a particular verses to memorize and recite it one by one. We love to memorize scripture and putting it inyo our hearts. Hope and pray that others will join us in this ministry. God bless.!

Alma, thanks for posting here on Memverse. I am excited about all that you and your church Fountain of Life are doing. Congratulations on Fountain of Life for being in 6th place on the church leaderboard and for helping the Philippines to be in 3rd place. I pray that many other people and churches in the Philippines will develop a hunger for God's Word. We would love to see some others from the Philippines here on Memverse or even here of some who join your Scripture Memory Fellowship the 4th Sunday of every month in Valenzuela, North Manila. What a great event that is. I have been a few times, and pray that some churches in Indonesia (where I live) and the USA (where I am from) will start this Godly, enriching habit.

Hi everyone!
Last June 28 we had our Scripture Memory Fellowship here in Fountain of Life Caruhatan.
We had our sharing of God's word during the event.
We memorized Matthew 18;10-20.
It was extra special and memorable for me because the FOL youth surprised me with gifts at the half part of the program.
It's the day before my birthday!:) Truly God is good. I am blessed by the gifts but most important blessed by God's word spoken by His children. Seventeen (17) individuals recited for that day.
We prepared simple gifts for them to keep and remind them that there is always a blessing in reading the Word of God!
